I've started sending pointless GLD transactions between my seed node and two client wallets.

I'm sending 1896.50 GLD back and forth including a transaction fee of 0.189650 with each payment. I might send around 100 transactions with 1.89650 (or higher), after receiving some donations. So, lookout for those.

Why 1896.50 etc. ?

$1896.50 is the current highest London Fix for Gold / USD per. Troy Ounce on 05-Sep-11 AM.

However, the London Fix AM price (higher than the PM fix) was only $1877.75 on August 22, 2011 and although XAUUSD did reach $1908.00 'floating' at most FX brokers... The current highest London Fix price is the one I'm sending back and forth in GLDcoin.

GLDcoin needs more client confirmations and hashing power! I couldn't find anything better to do with my GLD atm anyway.

I really encourage other people to donate, faucets are an essential part of having a successful currency as it gives everyone a method to have a small stake in the currency, and if you have a small stake, then its a lot important to you to see the coin succeed, and its more important to you to do things to support it such as mine it, or even stand up to someone bashing the coin and convince them to be interested. Yes, because the owners are dgc supporters.

Here are our last 24 hour trade volumes: 580584.86778841    (GLD) @ .00046 = 266 LTC = 7 BTC worth. That's ahead of many coins on the primary market. Chinacoin is at .4BTC.

As fa as the price when the market re-opened vs LTC, that's a function of the market itself.  Once the price goes up enough, they will move it back to a primary market.

Wish i didn't sell all my stuff in april, i only have like 3mh of power at the moment.  Need to buy some new GPU's.  That hashrate though definitely is not right because it was the same before and after I re-pointed my mining gear at it.

Yep, and the reason was to free the BTC funds for DGC pump as admin and all moderators are DGC guys. It was most traded coin on cryptsy in it's first days, it's second most traded right now too. There are coins in primary market there who had some 10 BTC volume on the exchange since it's opened.

BTW, I might buy a big amount of GLD for right price. Few hundreds thousands, up to million. If someone is ready to get rid of that amount for good price, hit me up a message.

I think that problem will be improved if not fixed once we hit block 21000 as the difficulty will reset then which I think will help it. Were currently at block 28838, and at our current rate it should be another week, however, the best way to speed this up and fix this is by mining constantly with as much hashing power as you can throw at it. I'm gonna go do more research about an android app, and contact a few people, and I'll be back with what we need.

Sounds good. I'm willing to donate GLD or BTC to miners to encourage mining. Whatever it takes to make this work.
