Looks like Bter.com is the next next next next... MtGox!

How many coins did you have stuck on Bter.com?

You have been Bter'ed!

Anyways, I hope all of you guys get your coins back.

I really really really hope Bter isnt the next MtGox.
I personally have zero coins there, but would hate to see anyone here lose any coins with this debacle.

Early Chinese new year present from bter to themselves.

This was an inside job, all the way, just like with their NXT "hack."

I'd say they certainly haven't helped their country's reputation when it comes to doing business.

There are other coins "stolen" that will get on auction, about 5000 from Silkroad. Indeed, totally exspecting 7000+5000 BTC will flood the market soon.

Aren't we all used to steadily dwindling BTC prices?

one concern that immediately springs to mind is if you want to deposit a large number of coins in any exchange ,
it could easily end up disappearing

Defunct cryptocurrency exchange BTER claims it doesn't have enough funds to reimburse all its users, following an alleged seven-figure hack
....

This time, reimbursement of the platform’s various cryptocurrencies, including NXT and counterparty, remains uncertain.

The only thing one should do is withdraw the coins off the exchange and never use it again.
