This coin is NOT meant to be taken seriously, but whatever it may be it may be. Its a celebration!

[initialize piratespeak]
Avast ye landlubbers!

This here be Doubloons! Cryptocurrency for pirates, arrrrh!

What we know:

- Another-another-another Litecoin clone.
- 6.77 coins per block, just like 6.77gms of gold in a real doubloon!
- Digging can continue until 8 million coins or 5 years, whichever comes first.
- No block decreases, diff adjustments targeted for twice per day
- Default RPC Port: 1337 .doubloons/doubloon.conf
- Need a node? Seed node=69.85.86.195
- Premining? Argh, sure why not, we're pirates. There may be a few hundred blocks
on the network once you connect. Diff is low on purpose so get to it.

What we rumor:

- This 'ere currency may eventually be the one and only currency of the Silk Road and the Pirate Bay.
- Somali pirates now accepting doubloons as ransom pay for hostages.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Adding a few for my collection.  Too bad no windows QT leaves too many folks out and makes for a quick death.

A BIG thanks to lightenup, defaced, Hazard, and even Milkshake for the inspiration and pointers on how to make this work.
One would think that the first lesson you'd learn from the rest of the failed altcoins, would be to release with a windows qt.
That put aside,I enjoyed the pirate talk, and wish you good luck, even though I can't support you due to the lack of windows binaries.(Don't ask me to build them myself,I can't even tie my shoes for crying out loud)

My take on windows binaries is two fold:

1: I don't use Windows
2: I don't trust .exe's from the random Internet.

I posted Linux binaries because that's what I use, also working on a Mac-QT. Gives those of us in the know a bit more time for mining before the Windows denizens show up. If you or anyone would like to compile a Windows-QT, I'll be happy to try it/host it/update the first post if it works but I'm not making one.

Lol... F'n hilarious.
Everyone who posts here should have a pirate name!

I will NEVER ask for any kind of funds up front in a buy/sale of anything on bitcointalk.

Exactly. I won't even bother compiling in Linux as most of the market won't have access to this coin.

Ha ha, yeah sure. Not like you don't know how to compile it or something. Tuut Tuut! Train for failtown boarding 90% of all possible passengers!
