Whenever i feel that i'm going to lose my cool and become angry to a person and i was thinking on hiting him on the face i just calm down and control myself even if that person really annoys me or that person make a bad things on me. I just hold myself back to avoid such incident of brawl. After that i just go to silent mode and  do not think of the situation and i will just pray.

Hi! I am a newbie here. I quite struggle about holding my temper and i easily flare up whenever i lost my temper on someone or a certain situation. How do you guys manage yours and stay normal in the midst of pressure? I know it is not ok to just be carried away by our emotions easily specially when the result could be disastrous but what to do?

I know you can handle it dude. Have a sip of tea or coffee and be in a cooler place. #CMIW

It is needed to control itself. If it does not turn out for you, then it is necessary to appeal to the specialist that will be able you to help. Main feel free. I try to control the emotions by means of meditation.

These remedies works for me whenever i am losing my temper...
First of all i take deep breaths...
Then i am trying to ignore the problem or the person that causes my temper to rise...
When i already cooled down already i will reevaluate the situation again...

I just think about all the good things in life and I calm down. If someone has upsetted you, think about whether they have ever done anything good for you. If they haven't, then think about how your life is better than theirs. It is all perspective. Most important thing is, if something or someone always causes you to lose your temper, just separate yourself from it, so it doesn't happen again.

Well, listening to music and surfing the web makes me calm down somehow. It still depends on the situation.

Get my cat. Let it purrs, make me calm down.
If not, I'll either shout or hit someone(or self).

I was actually thinking about something similar today. Basically hold it in. Hold it in the way you would hold in pain. When the moment passes and you're not angry anymore, and you get to see how in general getting angry over whatever had you angry wasn't worth it.

Anger is human emotion that we are all born with. It's in our genetics. Just have to find ways of managing it, because while it might be beneficial if we lived in the wild and had to fight to survive. It's detremental in our current human society. Rather than succeed it can just lead to you making horrible life choices, or even end up in prison, which like an avalange will make life much hard when you get out.

Take a deep breath and think about what you're about to do. Is it even worth it? Try to handle the situation without raising your voice.

im very good at holding my temper. when someone says something that you do not like, just dont focus on what she or he is saying. just continue with what you're doing because at the end of the day, it will be always yourself.

You have to learn to control your temper in the hard way. Let it loose one time to see how much stupid to let your emotions take over you, especially rage and anger.

It could help to see things in a bigger context. From space you are only a small little ant, trying to survive like all the other little ants. Try this perspective on yourself, then you will take things easyer.
Also it helps seeing them in a bigger time context. In ten years when you look back, things you are worried about at the moment, you won`t even remember.
