I'm Marileno, a digital entrepreneur from Italy and with my team we are planning a new cryptocurrency portal about:

1) 500 altcoin charts
2) Personal portfolio of altcoins with profits and losses based on current prices
3) Altcoins price converter
4) Receive price alerts via e-mail, Facebook and Telegram

What are your main complains about these 4 services offered by other sites, so we can develop them in a better way?

EXAMPLES:
1) Is better a linechart or candlestick chart? What timeframes do you like? Frequency of price update( 5/10/30 minutes, 1 hour or daily)?
2) Want to receive a daily report with your profits/losses?
3) Are 500 altcoins enough?
4) Other useful ways to get notifications?

Please give us your feedback and other suggestions or ideas.  Wink

I prefer candlesticks, but linechart can have some utility sometimes. So wee need the possibility to switch between them.

The idea of a detailed daily report is quite good. But what I would like is the possibility to set an alert like : If currency X lose 10% of its value in less than Y hours, alert me.

500 altcoins is good, but the charts need to ve updated in real time. This market is very dynamic, if there is only 1min of dalay, it can fuck up everything.

Push-up noticifations on mobile are good.

Should be every 5 minutes for the maximum impact!Line charts are better. It's subjective though, you can just support multiple options.

2) Want to receive a daily report with your profits/losses?
Don't you have to be an exchange to know that ?

3) Are 500 altcoins enough?
Seriously,50 altcoins is more than okay because whatever comes after them are just pump and dump projects. You don't want to support a lot of shitcoins right ?

4) Other useful ways to get notifications?
Send an email is kinda of spamming our inbox.Just use google chrome's notification system instead.Maybe in-browser notification support.

first of all 500 altcoins seems too much for me i'm an active trader but i don't trade altcoins untill 500 coins it might be 30 coins or so, you should list popular or good coins not a shity coin. On the other hand price alert is a good option but please make it as like Elkmar has just mentioned above so it's not gonna spaming us. I prefer telegram over those options i think it's very simple and efficient rather than email or facebook, well just my suggestion goodluck and all the best.

The idea with the Telegram alerts is excellent! What about Viber and WhatsUp?

The idea with the Telegram alerts is excellent! What about Viber and WhatsUp?
WhatsApp has no official API. Using WhatsApi would be illegal according to many users and we prefer to avoid troubles.
About Viber we can think about it, but we guess Telegram has a bigger audience.

Don't you have to be an exchange to know that ?
Reports with your profits/losses are not automatically synced with exchanges/cold wallets but basic statistics based on the values manually inserted by the user.

Hope to get other feedback about the project.  Wink

Looking forward to the cryptocurrency portal.

1) Is better a linechart or candlestick chart? What timeframes do you like? Frequency of price update( 5/10/30 minutes, 1 hour or daily)?
I prefer candlestick but it is good to have option to choose between the linechart and candlestick.
Frequency of price update: 10/30 mins, 1 and 4 hours.

2) Want to receive a daily report with your profits/losses?
Yes, it is a good to have.

3) Are 500 altcoins enough?
For a start, 500 altcoins will be enough. I suggest that you have a form for users to request for coins. In this case, you can add coins that most users would like to see.

4) Other useful ways to get notifications?
Will there be a mobile app? Notification through the mobile app is the best. Otherwise my choice will be email.

Good luck to your development.
