Personally I am planning on cashing out my coins as soon as MtGox is back online. It's gonna be a fucking bun fight. I don't care if I only get a few USD per coin because this shit is going down like a sinking ship and I advise you to do the same.

Would you be polishing the brass on the Titanic as it crashed and burned? I don't think so. Cool

I will just take my small amount of BTC as is, without selling, and safely send it to the address of a BitBill.

I plan on there being a better day to sell.

Companies claiming they got hacked and lost your coins sounds like fraud so perfect it could be called fashionable.  I never believe them.  If I ever experience the misfortune of a real intrusion, I declare I have been honest about the way I have managed the keys in Casascius Coins.  I maintain no ability to recover or reproduce the keys, not even under limitless duress or total intrusion.  Remember that trusting strangers with your coins without any recourse is, as a matter of principle, not a best practice.  Don't keep coins online. Use paper or hardware wallets instead.

I'm moving my BTC out, but I also planned this pre-crash. I only buy BTC for long term holdings. I don't sell. The miners and short-term traders can do that.

My favorite part is that prices at all the other exchanges remain like they were before, yet he thinks that the value will drop a ton (might drop a little).

If I had dollars at Mtgox, it would be like Christmas for me.

i was skeptical at first about bitcoin but the more this stuff seems to be resilient the more i believe in it's longevity

all these incidences could have easily brought about a complete and utter collapse but the system is strong and the faith is present.

Thanks, I'll be ready to buy them from you for a few USD per coin Smiley
Hey, why wait until MtGox comes up, I'll buy them from you for $5 now.

If anyone wants to sell me BTC for $7 over Paypal, because of this cash-out possibility, let me know. Thanks.

On the one hand, TradeHill has been up for over a day, and the price is quite stable in the $13.50 - $14.50 range.

On the other hand, MOST money (BTC & USD) is locked up at Mt. Gox, and so can't be traded. People are dying to use Mt. Gox funds to BUY, as well as SELL. So we really won't know the direction for BTC until Mt. Gox opens this weekend.

Yes, I said this weekend. It sucks, but it's going to be a long wait I'm afraid.

I have created a file going through the latest 4000 posts on the Bitcoin.org forums, taking that number down to 1984 after eliminating any non Mt. Gox related posts.

These 1984 posts were then gone through two systems set up where, in short, would mark the threads as "Pro-Gox" or "Anti-Gox"

Seeing as how this whole market is based upon speculation and fear, I went ahead and determined exactly what will happen in the following 2 week time (1 week guaranteed only, acts of god etc), and I will release this information to you for the mere donation of .0069 Bitcoin

*Estimate time of delivery of files 6-8 weeks

*Offer void

Quite honestly, so many people think that MtGox will crash hard when it opens that I think it might spark a rally. Yes, you heard me right. That said, I probably won't be touching anything for at least several hours, since the risk will be way too high for me.
