Does anybody know what's behind the sudden 100% climb of BCH?  It's crazy the spike today and it's been strong all day so it doesn't appear to be just a pump.  I'm looking for news but can't seem to find any.

Neither do I. I don't know what's going on, but it's really flipping. Price has been jumping up and down in the last hours... Anyone?

Big names supporting BCH, doubts about Segwit being the true vision of Satoshi, mining profitability switching, upcoming difficulty adjustments, etc etc.

Read the last 10pgs or so:

Even if this coin is really unwelcomed by most of the people who are into crypto, there are still names that are backing it up and its existence. I think these people are also doing their own version of hardwork to make this coin work. Hence, the pump that is happening right now.

In actual every coin just have the name only and everything is identified by the algorithm technology that the coin use .
But here in actual BCH coin is is totally nothing , I means to say that people like me have trust with that coin that it is the coin which is made by the trsm of the bitcoin and can never result into dead coin , so it is a better opportunity for me to buy this coin .
Here we can't found any official Wallet like the bitcoin have blockchain.info ( core wallets are available but i don't think that they are the simple for the mobile user ) .
So overall a simple trust of the team of work is exists in our  mind that is making the bitcoin cash more valuable then like a simple coin .
Well wait for the official simple desktop and mobile Wallet so that we can use perfectly in any way without going much with thurd party Wallets .

Then Bitcoin was not Bitcoin until the split that just happened Huh
Bitcoin is the original blockchain, bitcoin cash is a hard fork, it is not bitcoin, I think it will be more accurate to say that is an altcoin based on bitcoin before segwit activation, this is why some people refuse to call bitcoin cash that way and instead call it Bcash or something like that.

It is not a small pump. The price has increased by almost 75% in the last 24 hours. Trading volume is more than $1.5 billion per day. You can't take up this kind of pump if you don't have serious money backing you.

I think people not expected that Bitcoin Cash will reach this amount in that short period because bitcoin took so much time to get that amount 1000$ per coin. For coin that just showed up on market it's really high price, but maybe investors are intrested because it is the same as bitcoin and have similar futures

Yes the rally was really huge and it does took a while for bitcoin to reach those high values is simply because it was a new technology and people are not aware of it and that is not the case now,we have more investors and people are aware of the crypto market and so is the reason we are seeing these sort of valuations.

Actually it's just a name.btc too is neither bit nor a coin.it is cash for most people, seeing as they dumped it at the first opportunity a few days ago I reality though,it is nothing more than a crapcoin and will continue falling until it is worthless.

It’s still best to wait and watch whether the attempt will be appreciated by community.
