I have the xfx rx 480 4gb (elpida) and I am receiving the core 43 error when I try to install. Why???

Use the atikmdag-patcher to fix that.

1. Okay is this a whole new driver or can I patch my 16.9.2 driver with this one?
2. I am using wattool right now. No need for MSI right?

Everything else is the same right?

That is an modified custom driver it is not a patch. I think there is a why to just change or install .inf files in c:\...\Drivers somewhere but not dig into.
Watttool is enough.

I have 4x Gigabyte rx 470 4gb Hynix with stock settings, seeing a jump from 19-20 MH/s per card to 21-22 mh/s per card.
Total jump from 89-80 to solid 84.

It's driver, not just patch. Just try if the WattTool is working.

Yup i have been seeing this periodically
I posted earlier,  something seems fishy here, happens on random machines once at least a few every day, non of these rigs displayed issues like this before

Memory errors, even if is not showing you have trust me you have that on that card. The only thing to do is decrease the memory clock and maybe the core clock or just a restart. Sometimes the memory overflows and a restart will help, to make sure nothing overflows then you need to decrease the memory clock and maybe the core clock, you need to understand that a cooled memory is unlike to have overflow, and what makes matters worse, some cards have a terrible issue with heat.

So true. Well robinhood is a fictional character who used to steal from the rich and give to the poor. So the guy who posted this driver either stole this from a huge farm and gave to us peasants or his driver steals only huge wallets while solo mining. So pick your side trolls. I say this driver is not affecting my friend cause he mines on a pool, so no wallets to be stolen.

Memory errors, even if is not showing you have trust me you have that on that card. The only thing to do is decrease the memory clock and maybe the core clock or just a restart. Sometimes the memory overflows and a restart will help, to make sure nothing overflows then you need to decrease the memory clock and maybe the core clock, you need to understand that a cooled memory is unlike to have overflow, and what makes matters worse, some cards have a terrible issue with heat.

I'm running on rx570 with elpida the core on 1132mhz, mem 2000mhz, core voltage -100, power limit -5, but I get the same problem with stock clocks, and on the 17.2.2 drivers I have no problems, the hash is consistent on all cards...this problem just appears on this beta drivers when 2 or more cards are in use

yes i'am have problem to. After pool reconect/lost conection some card have a half hashrate. Core clock show lower but if clanymore restarted back to normal again. If user driver version before is fine no problem.

Well is a beta driver, this is just for testing, as soon as the official driver if one will ever come is released we will see. I had a card that presented the same behavior, afterburner did forget to apply only on that card voltage settings. See that is the thing, everything is beta, afterburner, this driver.

I know its possible to destory a GPU by a bios flash where it can alter the voltages and fry the card.

As long as you keep all in control, I mean electricity input/output, and see if all are working properly then no, buggy drivers tend to show values which are not real but then again you need to check many things, 12v levels. GPU cards tend to crash when a level reached a maximum limit threshold. So as long nothing is crashing, so I say you are good. Also, as I'm a programmer. I opened every file with Visual Studio and saw nothing strange with them or what would mean a phishing attack or that sort thing. What I see here is just a buggy driver which works most of time without a problem.

If one is good enough, he can write a code that can be executed when time = x. It won't necessarily execute right away, not after couple hours but maybe after 10-12 hours, or if you're unlucky enough to be not looking 

Everything is possible with unsigned software drivers, remember the GPU does what it is told to do so...
