in the past month or so, there has been a lot of negativity in the media regarding bitcoin. the news from all sites were talking about bitcoin splitting into two and things like that. the speculators were saying price will drop hard because of it. and on top of it all, there were a lot of FUD to make everything worse.

all this meant people either sold and got out or kept their money and decided not to invest in bitcoin until things become clear.

now they are crystal clear.
we know that SegWit has 100% support and it will be locked in, in about 1 day. and there is no split because of the 100% support. so the first things that I said (the first paragraph) is now moot. this means all those who sold and all those who had money to invest buy were waiting are coming back now. they are investing all that money back and price goes up. when something like this happens it is also followed by a Fear OF Missing Out (FOMO) and people invest even more. this can mean an even sharper rise upwards and a very big short term profit.

Totally agreeing with you here, I have joined many groups on facebook, All of them were trolling when bitcoin went under $2000 after the $2700 mark Last month, I told them that it is the best time to buy but not many agreed with my speculation and a month later we have achieved the highest Bitcoin Price in history, I just hate trolls who don't even have a single clue about the technology they are talking about, Same can be said for these troll websites, They work for the whales and get a nice cut from the profits. Anyway interesting 4 months ahead. I think we can achieve stable $4K by the end of the year.

I think it will still continue to rally because there is still segwit activation that people are anticipating for price increase. There will still be buyers that will push the price up.

The price of Bitcoin is doing great but I think we'll have a pull back or correction at some point. The price won't just keep on going up endlessly. There will be some fluctuation in price eventually.

Overall though, the price should make a gradual increase over time because Bitcoin seems to have become resilient to bad news. The increase after the fork proves that.

Then again maybe it will. It has become increasingly clear that without any bad news a bitcoin pump will keep going. Who would dump without a reason? As more and more want in on this fewer and fewer are willing to sell. If the avg bitcoin holder truly believes (as they should) that the crypto market is heading towards 1 trillion, why wouldn't it keep rising without a major dump towards the next halving?

Yes Bitcoin has really been appreciating since last week. I think $5000 is realistic even before december but we are likely to see some retracement before it gets there. I will gladly buy more btc if it retraces anytime soon

Well, Bitcoin got a slight correction, but it is a standard practice. The major difficulties are all over and Bitcoin is now unstoppable. I am fully supportive of $5000 as a next stop for Bitcoin coming soon. So, hold, guys!

This is just a minor correction and not a dip as others may have called it. The rally was unexpected, though we thought that people are going to stick with bitcoin and would just cash out this BCC and go back to BTC again which actually happened that really pushed the price of bitcoin to new horizons. We are all fully supportive whatever price bitcoin goes and there are no stopping bitcoin except for FUD's but I think it will not make a dent on the price. We may see another ATH when Segwit will actually be implement on Monday Aug 21. So the best options for us is to continue to hodl on our precious bitcoin for the next leg up.

I see no reason why we would not reach $5k by the end of this year! So yes, it will continue, maybe just not so fast.

There is the possibility that bitcoin reaches that price, personally I think it is going to come up short in this year since I think a price of 4500 seems to be the too high I think it can reach but 5000 is a price that is definitely going to be surpassed in the next year as adoption grows all over the world.

This is why I do not like facebook to discuss about bitcoin, there are always illiterate trolls saying that bitcoin is not worth a thing when they do not even have an idea of the technology and the money that is moving in bitcoin, at the end I’m the one that is going to get the last laugh with all my profits.

The rally will continue as for the first time in history bitcoin is been trading above $4000 today according to the data available from coinmarketcap. The rally may be rob on other altcoins and bitcoin Cash in days to come as traders will likely take profit from the recent bitcoin core Bubble.
