Just buy or exchange your USD into Bitcoin from your local country and deposit your bitcoin only in trustworthy exchange sites, i.e Poloniex, Bittrex, or Liqui (this exchange still new). Then you can buy any altcoin you want. Gmn cara untuk membeli altcoin sedangkan ane masih pemula..

firtsly , if your money is on paypal better exchange it first just google it and you will found many exchanger but better be careful you gotta check review too , if your money is on ur bank better buy some btc first through coinbase , triv or luno and then sign up on bittrex ( recommended ) , poloniex , livecoin etc .. after that go through btc deposit and then just go to the market with btc-alts pair and place your buy orders  |

If you're so lost about how you could buy an altcoin I really recommend you not doing this for now. The market is as volatile as it can get and you should invest in projects, not just buy coins just for buying, because you'll end up losing money because of that. First of all do your research abou blockchain, bitcoin, Ethereum, smart contracts concept, then you study about other chains and its pruposes...just then think about investing on few of them you believe.

To buy put your USD in Coinbase and buy BTC. Then send the BTC to Bittrex and buy the altcoin of your choice from there.

I recommend you buy from tokenlot if you want to buy the new finished ICO coins but if you want to do a quick sale, i prefer bittrex |

Much better if you don't buy some coins for now since you don't have any knowledge on it and might you will surely lose by some hypes commented onhere. And much better if you've just read some educational post about some coins do you wish to buy so that you can determine the right time to buy those one and can able to earn if the coin you buy will pump on desired time. |

Maybe you are looking on how to invest on ico right? Just do the steps on how to participate on that ico and to have the coin you like on your MEW. Cause if the coin is already in a trading site you can buy it easily. |

If you just want to buy an altcoin like Monero, Ether, Dash, Factom or Maid, you can use ShapeShift. You don’t need a user account, you simply send in the money. You need to have bitcoins or an altcoin and a wallet address where you want to receive the altcoin you’re buying.
You have two options - an altcoin-specific wallet or a multi-altcoin wallet. In any case, it is always a bad idea to leave your coin on an exchange. That doesn’t mean that an altcoin in an altcoin-specific wallet is automatically 100% safe though.

Investing in altcoins without any knowledge can be risky for a newbie as its likely that you will make loss in it so the best thing would be to buy bitcoins with USD and keep it safe in your wallet and wait for the price to rise so that you can sell at its peak and gain some profits and buy it back when price drops and repeat the same process again and again.
