I don't think BCC will ever overcome BTC. I'm honest here, I don't understand much about bitcoin technical stuff, but from a market point of view, I don't really think things will ever change, and BTC will remain the most valuable coin, and other will just keep trying to gain some space, but will continue to be used just as pump and dump coins for extra profit.
I understand that many users would probably like that BCC would surpass BTC, probably because this would give them the chance to invest and get rich. A chance that they missed when they did not invest in BTC in it's early days.
What? Who says who? I notice that Bit cash are trying to replace bitcoin wherein fact it is only nothing not a bit from bitcoin's power. Why do others keep on insisting bit cash? I am not in favor of bcc though it came up later than btc but this will never take place btc's throne. Investors are just good at investing because they already have sources but take also a consideration for those smaller investors. You are not taking it fair. It is very important for those who wait patiently mainly because we aim to help other people's need especially for family matter. Therefore bcc won't ever take place btc.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

BCH will not become BTC because BCH has independently stepped on its own path. The market is still more supportive of BTC than BCH is an altcoin as I have said many times BTC / BCH is like ETH / ETC Smiley

Well said, I totally agree. And, I don't even think that there's any other coin in the world that could replace bitcoin. It's widely known by those who uses crypto currencies and just take a look at the market demand. I think bitcoin is irreplaceable, it's possible but unrealistic. Bitcoin is bitcoin and nothing can replace it.

What is interesting here is that you reveal - something which I've long been interested in - that BTC is nr1 and BCH is nothing because BCH is a clone (but as is with better tech).

This means BTC is valued on sentiment above all, not on the underlying tech.

As of course most coins are valued on sentiment and promise instead of tech at the moment. But we're talking Bitcoin now.

Furthermore, though I support BTC and I own BTC, I regard BTC as a failed project. The reason is that it is supposed to be decentralized, but it is no longer - and it is extremely unevenly distributed. This goes against the ideology of the project, meaning it grew up to be something else than intended.

I still dream of crypto to be the currency of the people. Bitcoin is held by a happy and powerful few however, much like regular currency. So yea, I hope one day it will lose its position to a crypto that is held and regulated by the many instead of the few. If I had the time and skills to create a manage a crypto, I'd make its biggest goal a wide and even distribution - a problem of logistics. But if I could hand out 10 coinX tokens to every person on the planet now alive, that would be the distribution I'd aim for. This would be cryptocurrency in its truest form.

Technologically almost everything out there are better than BTC in these days, but because of all the investments and businesses behind it BTC is still the gold-standard and this will not change soon. BCH/BCC/whatever is just yet another technologically backward altcoin.

BTW what do you think guys when MP and the other BTC fundamentalist whales will dump their BCH stock Wink?

If it was The Bitcoin, it wouldn't be called Bitcoin Cash.

I totally agree it's getting it's power and popularity from Bitcoin but for me it's just another altcoin getting a lot of attention because of their supporters but it will just turn into another coin just like all the other altcoin in the market.

Its just really an another altcoin in the market and speaking on the popularity Bitcoin cash only got it on a short period of time when the hype is still high but when it already being suppressed then i think its over. The price of it would really stuck on $200 for longer time for sure. Cant be sure but most likely this thing would really happen into that another altcoin in the market. Bitcoin cash do only have small supporters compared to bitcoin.

These people never stops about the fact that bitcoin cash is just another alt coin in the market. Bitcoin is bitcoin and it will never be replaced by another alt coin, it can be upgraded into v2.0 or something similar but it will remain bitcoin. Put that in your mind that everyone will still stay on the original bitcoin. And that's not BCH.

But you're forgetting that Core just forced thru the Segwit changes to "original Bitcoin". So "original Bitcoin" is not really Bitcoin anymore either. Rumor has it "original Bitcoin" may forking again when they refuse the 2MB hard fork of Segwit2x, because Core wants to start banning Segwit2x nodes...

At some point "original Bitcoin" could be so crippled that it loses value, That's where Bitcoin Cash could step in.

Ever since this argument have started, people have picked sides to support and which to against without knowing that none of the parties even have the capability to decide what the future holds for both while the understand the language of the technicalilties which forms the basis of their opinions, the majority of the crypto community that decides where its to be swinged, understand one language which is profit which always influence decision making that will also decide which one is an Alt and which one is the Bitcoin.

Bitcoin cash is the side chain and i do not see it writing off Bitcoin the main chain which has the majority support as far as i know.
And how possible will Bitcoin cash transition to become the main coin when we all know it's the alt here and very few people are actually speculating about it to grow its community, support and market cap?? IMO this is mission impossible for BCH

Bitcoin Cash will be Bitcoin Cash nothing will change it. In this forum most associate (fiat) cash with scam. Who came up with the Bitcoin Cash name?
Forking just confuses and creates troubles with bitcoins sent to the wrong address......
I can understand the frustration lol
We already have idiots complaining about sending BCC to a bitcoin address or vica-versa.Sadly,forks are easy way to imitate the current system. I hope BCC developers come up with a better soultion to separate their addresses from the bitcoin.Least they could do is change the public key's starting alphabet.

Bitcoin will always remain bitcoin. Because of Segwit it will not be called as the original bitcoin anymore? If you say so, if you want to push bitcoin cash for another highlight or you can see that this is going to be a good choice for everybody when it comes to transaction. Do it for yourself, well it's a fact that bitcoin's value can lose suddenly but if you think that BCH is the successor, I don't think so.

There are extremists out there that didn't want segwit in, they wanted bitcoin to stay as it is, but these extremist don't understand that that was unviable. The people that want to stay with 1MB for as long as possible should thank the creators of segwit, because that is what will allow us to stay at 1MB. If you don't like segwit, just don't use it, simple as that. It's definitely better than Jeff Garzik's hardfork, BCash and so on.

Yah this all seems pretty silly to me. BCH has no future beyond the few folks that have been propping it up with their real bitcoin profits the last week or so. I'd say odds of BCH beating BTC are 1 in 100 ha better chance at the casino.  Grin

Even with segwit, BlockStreamcoin can only scale to 4.5 tx/sec

Mining cartels will refuse to implement any new scaling proposals for BScoin

Meanwhile the real Bitcoin will have 2000 tx/sec

Blockstream and core devs are working with the US gov to force users off-chain

Big blocks or GTFO
Here in this case my answer is in both yes and no because here the main reason is that the technology .
No doubt that bitcoin will remain bitcoin because of the technology and it is the latest technology in the crowd of the coins in cryptocurrency but here the main factor is the improvement that we can see what it got from 1 August According to your thread .
But here may be the new technology from the most basic will stsrt for the BCH coin and make it many times faster than normal btc .
So here chances of the technology improvement will decide the future of the place of king where btc will remain or will replace by bch .
