Don't know if it works in UK (have done it in Spain), but I have used with success a service named chip chap (they have an app too) you send them the btc and they give you back a code with which you can withdraw a corresponding amount of cash in some ATM's.
Instead, there are also many sites giving fiat currency instead of bitcoins. You can find localbitcoins, zebpay, coinvase, unocoin for converting it to cash instead of getting a code and redeeming it on any kind of ATM service. It is a time consuming process. |

I’ve made some nice amount of BTC and am looking for a quick and secure way to trade and use it, mostly in the UK.
Any ideas?
That really depends on how much you want to spend. Is the bitcoin that you have, a lot and therefore it supports you and you consider it your primary job. If you do I would consider using local bitcoin to sell you bitcoins for a bank transfer and tnen it is easily spendable. If this is just a hobby or you consider it a part time job, you should consider selling a portion of your bitcoin and then keeping the rest as an investment and selling when prices go up. |

The best advice I can give you is hold your Bitcoins and try to earn more. The value of your Bitcoins will be higher than now in future. Spending Bitcoin is not a good idea for now.
not to spend now is a good idea but look if you have coins and you bought these coin somewhere in the past and now their prices are pretty much high then I suggest you to spend them because you bought bitcoin to earn more money and live luxury life then now it is the time spend some coins and hold some coins. In this way you can live better and well enjoy your life. |

Having a great count of money is a potential foundation to have in the future. So instead of spending it into stuffs that is just for temporary usage, better save it because bitcoin's price value is continuously rising to provide opportunity of having larger count of profit and gain of income. If you are going to spend it, I think it is better to spend it on investing to gain more than what you have. |

Thanks for all the help guys!
I made my BTC back in 2012 and I feel it would be the best time to spend it and upgrade my day to day life.
I was looking for the most valuable option to use it and honestly a way to pay less Tax on it. I found a website called Zeek.me that sells discounted gift cards for all the top UK brands and they take BTC is a currency, anyone knows anything about that?
I also registered to local BTC exchanges and a buyer wants to meet face to face for a cash exchange, do you think it's safe? I don't wanna be carrying around 15k...

If you wanna buy common stuffs which you get online you can use bitify or just sell your bitcoins for paypal and buy your requirements from the sites which accept paypal if you want to buy something in your locality just sell off your coins for your currency on paxful or any local exchanger

That is good for you to earn bitcoin. Well there are many ways in earning from your bitcoin. The first way is to hodl or it is holding your bitcoin for long term. And another way is to trade your bitcoin into an alternative cryptocurrency. Try that try pursuing trading. It might help you in earnings. But before you start trading you must study first the concept of it. On how the market goes and etc.

Saving is better than spending always keep that in mind. Though saving wont make it big so you also need to invest in some project. You'll never know the value of bitcoin in the future so you better be holding on to your bitcoin than regretting you didn't do it.

Join an exchange. I suggest Bittrex. They are very good and reliable.
Never keep your Bitcoin on an exchange for too long, though.
Once you have traded whatever you want, then withdraw to your own wallet ASAP.

i think saving your Bitcoin would be a great idea for the proper use of your Bitcoin. if you don't have any urgency to spend your Bitcoin then you must not do that. day by day the price of Bitcoin is increasing at an increasing rate. So i always suggest everyone to keep saving Bitcoin. it will be a great asset for you in the future.
I certainly agree to that, saving is a great idea and I think it's better to save your bitcoin than to spend it. In addition to that, I think if you want to spend your bitcoin I guess try to use it to buy some altcoin and hold it for a long time. I hope the price of bitcoin will rapidly increase in the future so that I think the best way to do is to save it. I agree, maybe by the end of the year, bitcoin price will increase until it hits $5000. There is no impossible in Bitcoin, saving bitcoin is the best way to earn, spending it in trading is risky, and you don't have any assurance for it. Well, it is still up to you, if you already know how to earn more then do it.  |
