It is better to do the KYC at once instead of doing it step by step. And I believed even in the registration form in Stake there are some personal information were asked to complete the process and that is the first verification. And that verification is okay because ful name, email and phone number are asked there. And asking KYC in all the time is a delay tactics when you are in the mode to play games.

When I first registered, I never got asked for any personal information.
No name, just a plain email address thats it.
It seems those times have ended and a certain degree if KYC is required.
I will just do the KYC and take that bonus of $250.

It's based on the VIP level (or maybe other metrics), they only offered me $50

Oh so it's like that, I happened to have done KYC level 2 for quite a long time and with this kind of thing, of course, I was a little disappointed. What can be made if that's the rule. But I hope Stake pays attention to things like this considering not everyone accepts it well. I never experienced such a big bonus and I guess you are wagering high enough to be able to reach that high amount. Most of the time I can only go as far as $1k wagered amount per day playing casino games, mostly originals.
About the KYC, Stake.com has been in the business for a long time and I never had a problem with them so mandatory KYC is also to protect their business especially after a big case happened that made one popular gambling site pay a high price for making a big mistake. No business would want to pay that high because it will be losses to their income and any businessman would understand that.

Don't address it as unfair bro. At least it doesn't suit with your recent experience. You had received a sweet amount as birthday bonus from Stake in the last month. Moreover, Stake has boosted the bonuses for KYC verified users a long time ago. As a non verified user, I haven't received those extra bonuses. Verified users are receiving extra bonuses in all sections at Stake. This $250 isn't anything big compared to all those extra amounts which have been received by the verified users until now.

Be careful with big bait.

Can you explain what you mean by trap regarding the level 2 reward? Are you saying that the $250 reward is intentionally large to encourage people to submit their KYC when they normally wouldn't? I guess this reward you mentioned is for those who are Platinum VIP. If you don't have enough wagers, they definitely won't give you  balance like this. I don't think stake.com will give free balance just for KYC, unless it would become a liability for the platform.

Reasonable if Stake offer different amount of bonus as it will be wasting money if they offer all users with the same amount ($250).
It seems that the offered amount is based on some criteria such as VIP rank and current wager statistic.
The higher rank and wager statistic may receive bigger offer because Stake wont let their big players to go easily just because of the mandatory KYC rule starting next year.
Inactive accounts may also receive email since the rule is applied to all users but again the offer might be different from one to another.

Honestly I am waiting for your statement because you are one of the users who refused KYC and now you have made your choice, but yeah about the word (IF) I think this is interesting, imagine in the next few days the stake team will check thousands of identity cards will they actually check it or just a few? or maybe there is another scenario for example, if the user has gone through KYC but has not been verified /in the queue then they are still eligible for the bonus.

By the way, for Bronze level the bonus is around $50 but I don't know if the game activity will affect the bonus at least 2 of my friends confirmed this, while non-VIP accounts will get $10 after KYC, I think they will ignore the $10.

Hmm, this is probably for the support to answer this. But don't you have any emails about any potential bonus since you have filled and complied to level 2 long time ago? If there's no bonus for them, it's stake's discretion not to give them and only incentivized it to the level 1 users so that everybody will comply.

Fair or not, you verified user got more bonus from level 2 account 20%. Meanwhile, non - KYC account not getting any bonus, you can multiply with around 2 years+.
