It does seem polished and the live lines from what I noticed are solid when wanting to place a bet at the very last second before they change.
The only thing which is offsetting to me are the progress bars which zips beneath the upcoming selections for the day. Although they are there to show when the next promotion splash screen are going to be shown.
These might have the player think the site is loading or the odds are changing.

Other than that I think you have a good product ready to launched in a weeks time!

just received the long awaited invite to try the sports stakes

I think it is because all users are able to access the chatroom as the chatroom is open to public so non VIP users are able to chat on that chatroom.
No need to care of those who talk nonsense as long as they are not spamming then I think it is OK.
I'm not really sure if there can be potential chat exploits as there is no benefits to chat there unless there are many promotions on the chat like rainbot, trivia, etc.

My bad, I thought the sportsbook chatroom channel can be accessed directly from the main casino page but after I tried it without an account.
It shows "soon" when I tried it without an account but I can access the global and local chatroom without an account.
I haven't tried the sportsbook yet as I have no idea what to bet at the moment as there is no matches that I understand well currently.

Oh wow that slip looks very dangerous .
