Having a bug that can show an incorrect amount is totally unfair to players and could be considered a scam.

Seeing a different amount in your balance may cause you to make bets of a size that you would not have otherwise wanted to make.

Is this even possible to have only faucet to play without depositing any money around? What I could say that it is faucet abuser which is in appropriate thing to do on any gambling site. And even if you manage to get your money *100 I believe they still do not let you to make withdraw from  your faucet money.

The coins from the faucet are yours, there are no "rollover" or "bet x times" tricks. AS mindrust said, it is hard to achieve the minimum to cashout, the faucet is only available to those who have zero balance, it is impossible to accumulate it.
I don't think the faucet is as bad as you might think.
On ethereum I think it is about x20 of the faucet, you get 100 satoshi (whats the smaller nomination for ethereum ?

I know 100 satoshi is 0.00000100 btc but dunno what they are called on ethereum) and you can withdraw something like 0.0002 which is not that hard, x20 or x200 or something like that and even tough it looks insane to reach that with your money, considering its free money you can bet on x100 or whatever multiple times, not like its going to be a loss for you, you can hit it once a day or once a week and that is still free money.

Not like it worth anything considering even 1 ethereum is about 120 dollars or so which means 0.0002 is like less then 6 cents right now but its still free money and its still withdrawable if you play too much.

Only those who have no other better thing to do will do this, claiming faucet then bet x200 to reach 0.0002ETH which is only able to pay the withdrawal fee? Indeed someone may it once if he do it continuously but it wont worth his time as he will earn nothing once he hit x200. Even if someone able to manage to abuse the faucet by claiming all the time then he may not able to withdraw it because usually gambling sites wont allow withdrawal by faucet abusers.
Years back faucets were a good source for bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. I've been into faucets during the early days of bitcoin, recently when I checked for the same the domain is for sale. Gambling houses provide with faucets, but as mentioned in the above quote the time spend isn't worth it. What we earned through faucets years back is truly a big one considering the present value of bitcoin.

I never denied placing them nor will I. But again i was met with"From your explanation I can only assume that your balance wasn't fully updated at your front end, but after seeing the lost bets you can clearly see where the funds are gone."  And as to the calculating my own bets and not relying on the balance displayed. "

When you press "bet" on plinko, the outcome of the game is calculated and you are paid. But the visual payment is delayed to be in sync with the ball falling between the pins.

To understand me, do this: choose automatic bet and change the browser tab, or minimize the browser, and you will see all the ball getting together in the board. Once you resume it, all balls fall at the same time and you are "visually" paid. Now, try again, but instead of resume, just close the tab. When you get back to Stake, your ballance will be updated even if the balls never reached the prizes.

Some time ago, if you placed a bet too fast, you can see yourself playing with negative balance; it was because the delayed interface.

Faucets are not a source of income to begin with. If you think "playing with faucet doesn't worth it" you are right. Casinos like stake.com do not give out faucets so you can get free money. They are not a charity, they are a casino. The purpose of faucet is for you to test the games out and see if you like them or not. If you test it with the faucet you suppose to like the game so much and get addicted that you deposit money into it and play for real as well. That is what the faucet is for, nothing else.

Don't think for a second faucets are for charity gigs and let poor people get money or something, if that was the case stake and primedice would have gone bankrupt years ago when they first started. It should be only for testing the games and see if you want to continue or not. Even with that in mind x200 is still quite alright for free money.

Casinos are definitely businesses, but I agree that faucets are still better than none. Not surprising if there are (rare) cases whereby people managed to cashout from going all in with faucets.

They are what we called the lucky ones, this business will do everything to attract and entice potential players that's why faucets has been introduce, those who wants to try and experience the games are always welcome to use the faucets balance, allowing people to enjoy and being entertain using the small amount to start the game.

Another way for attracting players, faucets helps as well with traffics that bring more interest to those experience gamblers.

I can't quite agree with you

Well, actually, I agree with you that faucets are not a source of income, but neither are casinos, let's be honest here. If anything, it is casinos which should be used for fun and entertainment purposes only. With that said, though, I read somewhere around here that early faucets had been paying whole bitcoins in 2010-2011, so it in fact remains to be seen whether they can't be used as a source of income provided you are patient enough to wait a few (dozen) years

Hey Stunna, or any mods of Stake,

I noticed that on your site homepage, you show blackjack as a 0,5% house edge game. In the rules however, you tell us that the game has a 0,4% house edge. Firstly: this is a discrepancy.
Secondly, I used the (wizzardofodds tool) to calculate that the actual edge is 0,6%. Why do you choose to show wrong information? 0,1% or 0,2% might not seem like much, but compared to the 0,4% you show in the rules, it's a 25 or 50% increase in house edge!

Someone might want to call this misleading. I don't want to go that far, but please show the correct house edges on your site. Thanks!

Nowadays it is still still good actually, you can convert it to your own currency and see if past years will have exactly the same amount or not, when bitcoin price is on the lowest which is below $100, I believe they are giving you very huge amount of faucet and even some of them do not ban it but currently when the price is soaring(actually steep). So I can say it just no difference with past years, as long as they abused it, then they will get banned for sure

In value from our fiat yes I agree they just adjusted it to the same value, the intention still the same allow people to use the faucets and try the service and enjoy for a moment, after that time to  decide, the problem with some players their intentions is not the same they wanted to use the faucets to earn cash to the point of abusing it in any way that they can.

Yes one of the very first bitcoin faucets actually gave you an entire BTC. All you had to do was post your BTC address. You wanted another BTC, you just had to wait 24 hours or just power-cycle your ISP router to get a new IP. However it actually wasn't worth the effort because BTC had little value then.

The point of the faucet was to get people introduced to Bitcoin who didn't want to spend their time mining it with their CPUs hoping to hit a block. It wasn't as a source of income, it was to generate interest and hope that the idea caught on, and it did.

This is why casinos still use faucets. Its basically so you can test out the site without having to go thru the hassle of making a deposit, however its not meant to be used as a form of income.

There is always a control on how to combat abuse, sites now are stronger with their internal control.
Way back, it's very profitable but now it's not anymore and there are also a lot of ways to earn coins online than faucet but it cannot be eliminated
as part of the feature in a gambling site because somehow it also attract gamblers.

Also is historical. I mean primedice even on early days had faucets, it was definitely different at those times, people literally wrote bots that gambled on dice with faucet income and retried whenever the faucet didn't win.

At early days of primedice you got random name whenever you gambled so I remember people literally refreshing the page trying the faucet on something like x100 or whatever it was, if it didn't win retrying again and again and again until it won.
That was a way of making money daily and considering a bot could do that probably 50+ times in a minute there was a big chance of making a decent amount of money per hour, I remember someone made over 2 bitcoins that way for a whole month or two and then primedice introduced better defense mechanism to prevent those.

Now, that is not possible but its not because primedice or stake its because people who abused the faucet, they are the cause of faucets being this way.

I remember those days too

Though not in the way you remember them. I recall Stunna announcing something like an increased free bonus here, on the forum, then you waited patiently the moment it started. It lasted only about five minutes or so (if my memory serves me right), but If you were lucky, you could claim it a few times. That is, you first claimed it, then bet with x100 multiplier. If you lost, you could try to claim the bonus again and play with it one more time. It was kinda official and legal back in the day

during this period of time, exactly an hour in most cases, you got an increased faucet
sometimes even up to 10.000 or more satoshis and the minimum tip was 50k satoshi
so people were happily claiming faucets and the chat went semi dead for the moment, haha
good times

the bonus in question was called Happy hour Smiley

It still exists in Stake, it is announced on Twitter from time to time, but obviously the amount of coins is smaller.
