I know because this is what the general manager of the site told me of what this email was about when I asked him what I read in there but didnt quite understand how it worked.

Today i received an email from noreply@stake.com with this object "Cent21, your VIP boost is live for three days!".

I just want to be sure that this is not a phishing attempt as the link appear to be a little strange... it point to api.mixpanel ecc.ecc.

Someone from stake could confirm this is official?

Stake does email people time to time ( I remember getting about 70 doge or so once) but that doesn't mean you should trust the email blindly.

yes . in my case , i recieve some xrp but they are too small so i just max them out and loose them all . i also recieve a vip boost for three days but i dont opened the link yet . dont know if its worth to try or not  .

 this isnt kind of a phishing mail because the mail looks legit  ,it has a unique mail name of stake and also have some images . its easy to detect fake mails or phished mails though as well as phished websites and all of them will also head straight on the spam folder .

You do not need to open the link for the hourly boost, simply open the site and click Cashier then you'll find the boost as I have posted a screenshot few days back. If you are an active player then I believe the amount of the boost is worth enough to claim every hour. At least it is bigger than usual faucet as per my own experience but obviously the amount depends on your activity.

this new feature is very cool ,by the way - now you can see how much you got to wager until the next VIP level , maybe add figures too
like 100.000$ normalized wagered , need 150.000$ more to reach Platinum status etc.

I guess it does provide people with boost so they would enjoy it . Normally they are not making this extra so when you give people some extra it is impossible for them to miss out, there are people who would gamble anyway with or without any boost, and of course there are people who will play just because of boost as well and when you combine them both there will be more people gambling of course.

5 bitcoin being claimed is still a lot of money though, I mean I would totally expect a lot of people to play during the boost that is a given but isn't the boost like 1% boost? That means there has to be 500+ for it to be 5+ bitcoins claimed, maybe my math is wrong or maybe I am wrong about the claim % but if that is the case then it is super cool to have that much.

yup , a cool update and a generous promotion by Stake
now there is an incentive for players to level up and gain more VIP levels
3 days was a bonus , for  all to see what the vip benefits are (some of them at least )
I don't know if all of the regular players have this tab active , it would have been cool if it was , like  , greyed out
and showing how much one has to wager to unlock vip features + the features listed
maybe it is already there , haha but I will suggest it anyhow

I don't know the levels and at how much wagered you become a VIP member and I am sure if you play long enough you will eventually reach it but I am not even half way to bronze yet, its like %40 or so, which means I have to gamble as much as I have gambled and then some in order to become just bronze, let alone all the other types.

I have been gambling here for what? two years now? That has been just 40% of the VIP progress which means with this speed I will be a bronze in about 2.5-3 years . I have to pick up my game and become a bigger gambler but at the same time I am having fun betting 10 satoshi per bet, it makes me feel like I am gambling but at the same time not make me lose too much money so I will feel regret.

It's based on total wagered amount. And you can calculate how much time it will take for you to reach specific VIP Level based on your previous perfomance and % on the bar.

Yes this only for a while, but to be honest, I do not really like it since the numbers do not add up directly when you use some autobet. Last time I claimed it when I am rolling and there is nothing changed, even if I put it on another tab, there is nothing change, until I refresh it then the numbers is changed. But after that we never know how much that we already claimed. Although I believe that it will be credited to my account but yet it does not satisfied me with this condition

yup , think there are five Platinum levels
several of my good friends are Platinum 2-3 , don't think I heard about anyone reaching Platinum 4 or higher just yet
