The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Wait.. What?  Did you, or did you not get back your verification. Huh

Are we expecting notifications, or ..

In my case my password was strong, and I chose to also verify a lot of info.. just so there was no doubts.

the first mail was sent with no problems, i went with "other" proof, wrote some text with account balances and actions info...

it says somewhere that they're gonna check the claims manually. (At least if your old password is considered to be unsafe, I guess)

Claim NOT received, only because their claim site is down/overloaded and I can't even get the page to come up.

From the sound of things if it's this difficult to claim an account, I'll just end up creating a new one.

My old one has ~nickel in it.  If they can't quickly verify it I'll just write that off as a loss. =O
I'm just happy I moved all my coins off there a few days before all this went down.  And that took awhile because of their 50 coin limit.

I view this just like any other financial transaction.  If the money is not in my possession then I do not have full control over what should be mine.  *AKA My PayPal Rule*  I sure as hell don't keep anything in paypal since they can do anything they want with my money with no real consequences.  Tons of people have paypal stories of something happening to them or someone they know.  Having lots of money in Mt.Gox is really no different then having lots of money in PP.

Now if Gox can get FDIC *LOL* then I'll change my stance.

BTW, this is not a slam on gox.  I would do the same with anyplace that is holding my money.  I would never purposely leave money in PP/Gox/Whatever when you have other options.

Ugh! Getting this:

Quote
The password for this account is invalid, or this account is not currently under claim process.

Either because the new password I set prior to all the shenanigans was so strong that I'm not remembering it correctly or because of the latter part of that sentence, "this account is not currently under claim process." I'm not sure what that means. I'm pretty sure on my password. Don't know what's going on. I want my 3 BTC!

Im in a similar boat, with all the hype i changed my password the day before this happened, completley new one, so took me 2 tries to get correctly... i hope thats whats happening to you and you get back in.

For those who are waiting for their claim to get processed, I have the following point:

I think that even if the first 20% of the claims will get processed reaaaly quick (like in 12 hours) the exchange will stay closed because MtGox will wait for the other - at least - 50-60% of the user DB to get their claims submitted. Reopening trade before the majority of the users is cleared would be just unfair! And of course those users above 20% will have forgotten about Mtgox and wont look into the issue for another week or two.

Keeping this in mind one can say that ETA for Mt.Gox exchange is at least 1 to 2 weeks, or even longer!

So everyone just relax in the mean time... :-)

It specifically said that they would wait 24 hours to see if there was only one claim.

mtgox is down right now, my conspiracy theory; the domain was still compromised by the hackers, acting like Mark, phising passwords for more win.

Why does Bitrebel have 65+ Ignores?
