Electricity costs aside, how much (in USD) could be expected to be earned in one month from a highly efficient $10,000 Bitcoin mining rig? What products do you advise? Thanks in advance!

ROFL <after wiping tears of laughter> "$10,000 mining rig" tells us NOTHING other than if that is the price for 1 miner IT IS A SCAM! NO reputable manufacturer of miners have any that cost more that about $1,300 each. *what* make and model of miner? What is its speed? For mining Bitcoin or an altcoin? Purchased from who?

I was just inquiring if three S9s were worth the price. Fuck it. I'll just live off my 100+ BTC/BCH on my Trezor. The remainder of my $20,000 "Bones" Jones hit will continue to go to coke/whores instead of a rig, smartass... https://nitrogensports.eu/betslip/5b02a6aWDAyZldSSGtpMjhJS2RKZGRpdkdVdz09/r/1530/You gotta be the dumbest "Legend" on this forum. A "rig" can have 1 miner OR 100... S9s are reputable and >$1,300... You asked Bitcoin or altcoin?!? I told your dumbass Bitcoin mining in my previous post...

Easy there, Junior, NotFuzzy is well respected and knows his shit here. You said both Bitcoin and rig in the same sentence, and there's no such thing as 'rigs' in Bitcoin, so YOU started the confusion. And it's not your fault, but we get SO MANY useless threads started in this section which are not BTC related that we all get a little tired of it and may be a bit curt upon yet another "How much money can I make" thread... That being said, you can calculate how much you'll make here: https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty

Thanks, VRobb. I always do my research and this is the first question I've ever posted in BitcoinTalk. Kinda lazy this morning and just figured I'd ask a quick question. I'm an engineer, so I call anything I build a "rig" and now see where I caused the confusion. Imma just HODL. If I do mine, I'll try to hit the lottery by mining several shitcoins. Again, VRobb, thanks for your speedy response!
PS: Respected member or not, I don't take kindly to belittement/snide remarks emphasized with emojis/CAPS/red letters. Funny how people never respond like that face-to-face...

When somebody shows up here talking about a $10k Bitcoin miner, either the question was misunderstood or the person is an idiot about to be ripped off.
Around here, idiots about to be ripped off are entirely too common.
Responding to an impolite assumption with overt jackassery is called "escalation" and not a good way to make friends.

Ja. Sorry if you took that wrong - and yes that is how I always respond to such an open question in real life or on-line. Anywho, if you had said $10k worth of bitcoin mining gear -- would have been worded differently and sans the scam warning. That was there because there are at least 2 scam companies pushing vapor miners that supposedly push over 50THs and one claims 75THs (along with farting diamonds) for around <drum roll please> $10k and too many folks ask about them here.
As for getting 3x s9's, if you are aware that they are loud/hot and plan accordingly, decent miners. They and some T9's make up about 175 THs of my farm. Another 50THs are Avalons which are a lot easier to get and more reliable.

I have $10K burning a hole in my pocket, so I asked how much USD a "$10K mining rig" would make/month. I stated nothing about a $10K miner. I'm sure they have those in Dubai 24K/diamond encrusted. I was looking for efficiency/bang for the buck. A complete RIG. A plug/play set-it-and-forget-it system. I figured I'd get responses like "20 S7s" or "3 S9s".. Essentially, I just wanted to know if $10K would bring back $100/month or $1000/month, and which products to buy. I researched after my post and feel that it's not worth it. BreakEven is 12-18+ months...
I know how ya'll feel about the same question asked over/over. I shoulda known better. I'm not one of the rookies getting scammed on here anymore, though! LOL! I'm from NYC where urrbody constantly scamming. I got scammed ONCE in my 38 years I recall (2014?). I received the funds through eBay/PayPal FIRST (of course) then sent out the bitcoins. A couple days later I was out $$$/BTC (PayPal chargeback). Sad, because NYC has way better con artists than eBay. I felt like a dumbass.

So in the mining world, a "rig" is a GPU, not the complete system?

These days a "rig" would more likey refer to a GPU setup rather than an all-in-one ASIC machine.
Nothing you can get now will have the kinds of get-rich-quick payoffs we had in years past.

Ja. Here 'rig' literally means an assemblage of various parts eg a PC mobo, several gpu's, SSD, etc., which are a province of the altcoin world. For the past few years all BTC miners have been stand-alone modules, just hook up a PSU and internet connection, setup up pool info and yer off and running. Closest to 'rig' here are the Avalons which use a separate RiPi as a controller for up to 20x miner modules.

With $10K and 6 S9 you can start earning around $700 every couple of weeks, and if the difficulty continues to rise every couple of weeks by 6%, and not faster, you will just manage to break even on your investment in a year or more, unless the price of BTC rises even higher (but if it drops, you won't even return the original $10K). May be it will be more profitable to invest half of that amount in a basket of upcoming altcoins or even precious metals for that matter (like 2oz of gold, 50oz silver, 2 9s and some new alts) and see what does better in a couple of years. Giving it a 2nd thinking, just buy 4 Antminer D3!

Thanks for all of your responses! I'll continue to research different setups and make a decision soon. There's a big advantage with gambling with BTC because you can lose a few bets, but your bankroll breaks even because BTC jumped $100 the last couple hours. I just hate the anxiety of waking up in the morning and checking ESPN for the final scores. I feel that mining may be more lucrative AND less stressful. Again, thanks!

No don't lose money gambling. It is better if you invest that money. Buying 4 Antminer s9 is a good idea and this would make you monthly 0.42 bitcoin which is more than 1600 dollars with the actual price of bitcoin. You can also build 5 mining rigs with Nvidia 10 series, the 1070 being a good option, each build to have 4 of these cards. In Zcash or Ethereum you will make about 0.39 bitcoin in a month.

10,000 is cost prohibitive. Breakeven on initial is higher with that price then add electricity. All factors make the price a no go from the start.

I believe there's still time to make serious money with GPU mining.
You just need to have luck to enter early on mining some new groundbreaking coin which will rise in value.
Also, you should never sell all the mined coins, keep at least half, cause value will rise...

Considering about the performance of this coin they seems to be good option. Altcoin mining at this time if selected the right coin could lead to great returns in future. Just consider people who started mining initially ETH would be a solid started today in terms of returns as the coin has really performed well. The level of difficulty would not that much as compared to btc .
