Make sure to send whole numbers, no decimals and ADD the price of gas in the send. For example if you want to send 5 NEOS to your wallet from an exchange, you need to include the fee price in there. So: 5.2 Neos. ETC.

I know that you have a fear of losing your clients if you keep them online. And there's obviously a couple of software while it's that will help you out. But keep in mind that when a coin has limited sources and only a few online holding places, that if you were lose your coins off of the single website where they could be stored that means that pretty much everyone's been stolen from and it doesn't matter where your clients were in first place.

I also personally didn't like their wallet and it doesn't seem safe, dont know why. My gut feeling about this wallet is not good.
Everytime you have to access the wallet you need a private key and there is no other layer of protection. Which kinda makes it risky.

What I'm trying to say is that the online wallet, which appears to be the only one, is most likely run and operated by the development of the coin. So if you have your coins on there, and one day you can access your wallet coins or anything, that pretty much means that the development team ran off anyway so it doesn't matter if your coins are online software wallet or what cuz they're not going to be worth anything when the development team has failed and probably dumped their bags.

As an OSX user the best is probably Neon which gets a semi formal from the Neo team, since Neo's website does refer to CityOfZion which is the developer of Neon.

The rest of the online wallet, unless specified to be trustworthy by the Neo team, I am not 100% sure we should put our savings there.

No. At least for now, there are no transaction fees for sending NEO on NEO blockchain. As a result all transactions are processed based on time of sending and there's no way to "cut the line".

Yes, you can send GAS and also collect GAS produced from NEO if you store your NEO there too. So you can store GAS and NEO both.

Beware they only accept non decimal for NEO so if you send 7.5 your 0.5 might be lost if your exchange doesn't have a detection before it's sent out to Neon. For GAS they accept decimal.

i actually try this wallet but when i change my browser and open my wallet again i see 0 neo but i still earning gas but im not able to transfer my neo. so i go back to other browser which i opened this wallet. and transfer it back. it seems there was a problem for now on this wallet.

I dont understand. Why do you have to open a browser. Neon light wallet is not a web wallet. You just download it to your computer and next time you want to access it open the wallet directly. Why do you have to open a browser?

For HODLING NEO the best 2 options are:

1. NEON wallet
2. NEO GUI (A little complicated for beginners)

You can store your NEO in any of the wallets and you earn GAS for keeping it there.

I personally prefer NEON wallet for the regular updates it receives and the hard working CITY OF ZEON behind it, remember they made the updates in a very short period of time to make NEON compatible for $RPX sale, it was really challenging but they did the job great.

You can hold NEO at binance and kucoin and earn GAS as well. These are exchanges that gives you your earned GAS when holding at their exchange, so you should be able to do that as well.

Simply download the official wallet for NEO crypto currency. Choose the stuff for mobile devices, for PCs or an online version of this wallet. Further installation and configuration are absolutely easy and do not cause special difficulties.

There are a few options to store your Neo and stake GAS tokens. You can download the neon wallet, which is just the lite-client so easy for beginners.

Alternatively you will have to download the entire blockchain.

The other option, which many people do (note I do not) is stake them on Binance. You can still get GAS by holding them on binance but I personally would not do this since I like having access to my private keys.

Yah, i feel you man, reaoly hate storing my alts on exchanges. I just wish every alternative coin out there gives an effort to make their own wallets just so that people will have a choice wether they wanna hold their tokens offline with the security of a wallet, or in exchanges for easy selling. Also, make sure to remember that NEO transfers in whole integers, so you need to include the transaction fee to however much you are trying to transfer to your wallet. Otherwise, you will lose a portion of your NEO down to the nearest whole number.

I also use NEON Wallet. Quick installs on the laptop. Security is still in question, since NEO is not yet very popular and many keep it on the stock exchange. Because they are not sure whether they want to store it or want to sell it.

I am new to NEO and just want to make sure to not make any mistakes with the neo-gui wallet. I now downloaded it and it is synchronising. After that, I have the following questions:

- how do I transfer my NEO from Bittrex to the Wallet?
- how do I encrypt the wallet?
- how do I backup the wallet?
- I understand I can only transfer full tokens, no fractions, correct?
- is there anything else I need to consider with this client?
