Bitcoin marching to $5000, any hope to altcoins?

I noticed that while Bitcoin is go up with $3200,3300,3400 and 3500: altcoins are dumping? So if Bitcoin will reached 4000 my altcoins will dump more??

So what will happend to my previous altcoin bags from DCR at 15sats, STEEM at .008 , SC at 600sats.. All of them are -50% down. All of them are bought during Bitcoin correction last May-June 2017

Is there any hope from my bags? Should I sell all my altcoins to Bitcoin?

i think the situation like the bitcoin split issue people panic due to bitcoin down fall during at that time but bitcoin now continue uprise in pumping the value, my opinion about the altcoins go uprise in pump like the founder of all coins the bitcoin.

Yes I remember when in 2013 bitcoin prices reached the peak but after that down until 2014 it was only $ 250 and in 2016 back up and up until today to      $ 3,700. And for altcoin must dare to take big risks because to get the profit must be brave to lose first.

It not always like that. If you check coin market cap, you'll see some coins are pumping along with bitcoin. I believe bitcoin will rise up to $4500 by the end of the year and some coins will increase rapidly as well. Hopefully.

when bitcoin settle, altcoins will start to rise. altcoins need stabil environment. when this is happen huge pump will come to altcoins.

In general alts fall faster than BTC but rise faster too. There is often some delay though, and a surge in BTC will be followed by a surge in alts. My advice is to hold your alts.

Usually when bitcoin goes on a bullrun it is a good opportunity to buy various altcoins, but this time around altcoins (some better than others) are holding strong and some are even on bullruns themselves.  I agree when someone else said the game is changing, as bitcoin comes more into the financial spotlight people will also pay attention to alts as an investment opportunity.

Yes Bitcoin is dominating 50% of cryptocurrency market but we can't say anything about any coin.Bitcoin is father of every altcoin,because its first blockchain currency and now more than 5000 altcoin market.Lots of coin get daily launching.I think new projects are coming with different approch. Developers, high tech professionals etc  are collecting crowd funding for development of their projects.In return giving coins whose value depends upon development of project.If project work well then coin too but there is a high risk behind every new project.This kind of case is not with Bitcoin which is pure cryptocurrency.

I think that bitcoin will not go to 5000$ i predict even bigger price because bitcoin will be accepted in many countries so i expect maybe even 6000-7000$ but who knows what will happent.

I would not necessarily sell off my alt coins when it is going down,if there is no hurry then it is good to hold the coins for a longer time because it will recover in due time,the price of bitcoin is rising by the minute and it has crossed $4000 and is now coming down a bit as i type this,i hope it will take some time to breach $4000 ,never sell at a loss.

I think if bitcoin price increase many altcoins also increase because altcoin is part of the bitcoin . Altcoins price depends also bitcoin price . If bitcoin price reach 5000 dollars for sure many altcoins increase like waves and ethereum because that coin have big potential to increase in the future. But it depends also in the demand in the market. If the altcoins dump or increase.
