Funding an account with fiat currency to buy bitcoin on Kraken, Coinbase, etc.

Browsing the Kraken site, don't see any fees section besides a fee schedule of a maker 0.16% and taker 0.26%. So say you want to sell your fiat $US and buy Bitcoin then am I right that the only fee they would charge is either 0.16% or 0.26%?

What about if you don't have one of the currencies listed there (not US, EU, JP, CAD), is it possible to send an international transfer using a forex site that converts home currency to $US dollars sending the $US dollars into the Kraken bank account, then you will be able to buy Bitcoin? Forex site would charge less than $20 or even free if it's a large amount to convert the currency over.

Same for Coinbase too? As they only allow credit cards for international buyers and charge a huge 3.9% fee.

You can take a look on localbitcoins.com , you can find all informations there , about each seller fees , and by the way careful , choose a reputable trader because many transactions with fake money are on localbitcoins

Am I understanding it right that can in fact do what I asked about in the 1st post? A non-US bank account could use a forex site to fund a Kraken account in USD. But I'm not sure, do forex sites use SWIFT?

Do you have a local bitcoin ATM around where you live? You can use that to fund your BTC wallet first and then transfer it to your exchange.

Kraken uses only euros, US dollars, Canadian dollars, British pounds, Japanese yen for deposits but you can't deposit using an account that is not in your own name (like any exchange). If you don't have one of the currencies listed, then the solution is to deposit a cryptocurrency listed.
The fees to deposit US dollars are 5$ for US citizen only otherwise it is $10 for others

Not around where I live, but about 1 hour away in one of the cities in Australia. They charge 4% fees but I don't really know how competitive the rates they give are, compared to the exchanges. I'm presuming that the ATMs don't really give a good rate, therefore it ends up a lot higher than 4%. Am I right in assuming this?

Otherwise if 4% is all they change, then it's exactly the same as Coinbase exchange.

Yes the rates they give around where I live (US west coast) is not at all good. I checked out today and they would charge $4361 (for 1 btc) while the current rate of btc is $4161.
