Hey everyone!  This week there were no matches in any of the three games at btcLottery.com

That means that all betting addresses stay the same, all bets remain in place, each game moves on to the next round, and betting continues until next week's drawing.

Next weeks drawings will take place in blocks 131001, 131002, and 131003.

Full results have been posted (in a much cleaner version than before) at:
http://www.btclottery.com/results/week4.php

Thanks for playing, and good luck!

There was one winner this week in our Match1 game!  He/she was paid out .852, (after rake and transaction fees).  Congrats!

The Match2 and Match6 games had no winners, so the games will continue!  The Match1 game resets with a new address.

Next weeks drawings will take place in blocks 132501, 132502, and 132503.

Full results have been posted (in a much cleaner version than before) at:

There was one improper bet in the Match1 game.  Player 7 bet .01, and the standard bet is .1  His bet was returned.

This has brought me to a new rule at btclottery.com.  If a player makes an improper bet, we will first subtract the transaction fee it would cost to return that bet.  But if that leaves a zero or less-than-zero sum, the bet will just stay in the pot and the players ticket will not count towards the drawing.

This week it cost me more to send back a bad bet then the bet was actually worth.  I barely make anything running this lottery and really don't want it to cost me either.  So please pay attention to your bet amounts.  Otherwise your bet will be returned *minus* the transaction fee it would cost to send it back.  If it costs equal to or more to send it back then I won't.  Your improper bet will just stay in the prize pool, but your ticket won't count.

Thanks for playing, and good luck!

There were no winners in any of the games this week.  Therefore betting will continue in all three games, all bets will remain in place, and all betting addresses stay the same.

Next weeks drawings will take place in blocks 134001, 134002, and 134003.

Full results for this week's drawings have been posted at:

Starting to tinker with a couple ideas.  I would love to hear from those of you who have played before or still have a live bet in any of the games.  Here are some potential ideas:
  • Lower the bet amount in all games to .01 btc.  This would make it a universal bet on my site and avoid any confusion as to what the bet amount for any game might be.  Seeing as btc will probably only increase in value over time, .01 (which is roughly 15 cents now) seems reasonable, rather than .1 which now is more than your standard lottery ticket.  Of course I would not change the price right now of the .1 MATCH2 game, which currently has live bets in it.  I could either run that game out or return all bets.
  • Change from drawings every 1500 blocks to every 5000 blocks.  This might help build up the pots a little.
  • Add a boxed bet option.  This would mean that someone playing Match2, holding a ticket with the numbers 5-6 would win if the draw number was either 5-6 or 6-5.  To play boxed, they would have to pay more.  The problem is, it is tough at this point to determine what the ticket price should be for a boxed bet.

Please help me help you by responding and letting me know what you think of these ideas.  I'm all ears and would love to make the game more enjoyable.  I'm very open to suggestions!

Thanks for playing, and good luck!
