I can recommend Exodus is good multicoin wallet and Electrum is best for Bitcoin.
The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

localbitcoin used to be a decent place but your probably better of using a actual wallet than storing any on exchanges which can just close up at any time. wallets are forever.

anyone looking for the pros and cons on wallets: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1631151.0

For Bitcoin wallet you can use spectrum or bitcoin. For ETH wallet you can use myetherwallet.because myetherwallet support ETH based altcoins. Please don't use any wallet which not provide you private key.

I prefer to keep the majority of my coins on my hardware wallet (Ledger Nano S), but as far as desktop wallets go I like Exodus.

I don't use Bitcoin desktop wallet. I am using Coinbase web and android version. Coinbase is very secure. The desktop wallet has malware. That's I don't use it. You should avoid desktop wallet. Otherwise, you will fall in danger.

why those wallets is better than Bitcoin Core of Bitcoin Knots with "prune" option?

Core is the best Desktop wallet however for many the syncing could be an issue because of storage requirements, internet bandwidth, etc.

Electrum is a slo a good choice otherwise Exodus and Jaxx are also easy to use and don't require any syncing.

Make sure you always protect your private keys and wallets following best practices.

What are the best bitcoin desktop wallets? And also other wallets that include a number of altcoins goo?

in my point of view blockchain.info is the safe and secure. you have to try once in this wallet. next copay is also one of the safest wallet investing coins. armory, electreum, multibit and trezor wallets all are best for secure. first if all you have to try in blockchain.info next electreum. those all are best sites for investing bit coins. mostly i would like to recommended for blockchain.info. so you also try once this wallet. who are newbie this field i like to suggest blockchain.info.
