$40000 is now definetly a real possibility in the next 5 years . Half my family are now taking notice and buying bitcoin after years of me going on about it and getting mocked. I'm sure this is being mirrored across the globe.even the bbc are reporting more positively about bitcon just today

Bitcoin will never be to expensive. Simply because have limited supply. ETH on other hand will become expensive at some point.

That's your belief. It may take 6 months, 1 year, 5 years etc. We are not future tellers. Everyone has their own mind. Some people may prefer to cash out before end of bubble and some may hodl for a few years. Invest as much as you can afford losing.

While no one can predict the future I think a prediction that bitcoin is going to reach that value in 1 to 2 years is outrageous, I like bitcoin and I would like to see those prices but something really big will need to happen so we can see those prices that soon.

I would have said $40,000 bitcoin's were an absolute dream but the way the price is rocketing at a seemingly unstoppable rate I don't see $40,000 as dream land any more. It really could become a reality sooner than we think.

You would be surprised how likely it could be that we would see ridiculous prices like the 40000$ price. If bitcoin were to get a mere 5% of the total amount of money that people have invested in gold bitcoin could be valued at $25000. And that's only 5%! With the current growth 25000 can be likely in the next 3-5 years (realistically speaking and a lot of the times I'm wrong when it comes to prediciting how soon bitcoin will hit a certain price point, perhaps at the end of next year who knows).

perhaps the OP's intention is to start investing with a small value and wait until the price reaches $ 40,000. many people believe in this even when by 2020 many people speculate by mentioning bitcoin prices will reach $ 50,000. we can only wait for that to happen. no one knows how big bitcoin 1 - 2 years ahead.

The price of bitcoin is slowly moving to five figure value and we could see another rally when the derivatives market becomes a reality,even with the announcement we had a rally,i am sure the price would double when they start dealing bitcoin and then we might see ETF next year which would further fuel the growth,with all these growth a market cannot sustain all these upward rally for a long time,i wonder when we will see a major correction.
