Hi All,

Has anyone received the email from MyBitcoin to reset their password?

Quote
UPDATE: For those of you who have an account with an email address on file we may have changed your password if your username matched a known MTGOX account. If your password isn't working, please don't panic. We will send you a new one to your email address

I have not received anything, is this the same for others. Just want to make sure my account has been disabled pending password reset, rather than hacked.

Thanks

I received. I haven't yet checked the PGP signature that came with it though. I didn't use the same password for both sites, but it was reset anyway.

Slightly concerning, I don't have a massive amount in there but would rather not loose it. I am assuming your password had been changed/account locked before you got the email?

Does anyone have a contact at MyBitcoin in case I don't get the email?

Thanks

I checked mybitcoin account shortly after I heard about the MTGox hack - Looks like it has just been wiped out Sad

70BTC gone, which kinda sucks. I did get them a few months ago though, when they were cheap, so I didn't loose a great deal of cash.

That's the last time I make the mistake of using the same password for more than one thing...haha  Wink

Sorry for you lost. I account at mybitcoin was also hacked. Funny thing was that after the mtgox hacking reports the first thing I did was change my password. My gmail account linked to my mtgox account also reported that someone was trying to break into my gmail account and forced me to change my gmail account password.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. It's just that yours is stupid! =D

Have not received the email. I didn't have much in there, but I'd like to get at it.

@caveden, how long ago did you get the reset message?

I'd like to bump this up, because I still haven't had any contact from Mybitcoin.com.

Has anyone gotten the password reset email, and subsequently got back in?

If not, have I/we been ripped off?

ive heard that the admins at mybitcoin have been stealing bitcoins and blaming it on the mtgox hack.

the hashed passwords on mtgox take a considerable time to crack, and especially if you changed your mybitcoin password already, then there is something fishy going on.

Well, if that is the case I had changed my password before they reacted to the MtGox hack, and I'm pretty sure I can prove it. If they are doing something like this, then I'm sure the authorities, Better Business Bureau, and West Indies press would love to hear about it, especially if it took place across multiple accounts.

So, Mybitcoin.com, are you thieves?

Or is there a more logical explanation?
