Its true that a lot of people have not heard about it. Even here where I work, people who are even educated with unlimited access to the internet still don't know anything about bitcoin not to talk of the traders or stores down the street who deal mainly with cash and the phone he uses is just to make and receive calls in addition to sending text messages and that's all about it.

Out of curiosity due to some comments i have read in this thread, i also asked about it LOL. Just now when we dine in on a restaurant i asked if they are accepting bitcoin, but they don't and the waiter seems a bit puzzled and clueless about what i was talking about.

I don't what you mean, what's the need of money to be invested for the need of spreading. It's all about sharing the good rather than the negativity. Even technically aspirant people haven't heard about bitcoin, so it's all about time. As we're all new to the digital currency network for wide spreading lot time is required.

The Bitcoin reputation is slowly up, for now still not a lot of people know about this, but Bitcoin starting make an appearance, a lot of news already ever mention it, YouTube got a lot of Bitcoin video, and some movie also mention about Bitcoin, it is just matter of time people know about Bitcoin and when that time happened we will see a lot of people rush in joining

For now Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency is  still young thats why only few people know it
From those people only few trust it.
From those few who trust it, not all of them know how to use it.
For those poeple who know how to use it(or have idea), only few actually using it.

But now the number of people who have knowledge about it was gradually increasing, maybe after 5-10 years it will be part of common knowledge.

I totally agree. Especially here in our small province, people really don't have any idea what is bitcoin. Let's just wait and see until they would know and understand what bitcoin really is. I have a strong feeling this would be so popular years from now if those people who already knows and uses it spreads it widely. People nowadays cannot live without phones with them and if they would know bitcoin exist which is accessable anytime anywhere, there's a 90% chance they would like it.

Yes of-course most of people not using Internet for their bread earning or for supporting their income.

The above reason itself help BITCOIN is still in early stage only and has potential for more growth

We don't know how government of every country going to accept BITCOIN that is going to make huge impact which might lead to tax implication.
 
It is great that nobody is going to stop BITCOIN

Because they have no option left except to regulate the BITCOIN.

I agree with you. It is a sad sight to see so many not having heard about bitcoin at all. Even people involved in some sort of technology related careers have no idea what bitcoin is. This is also one of the main reasons why many businesses have yet to accept bitcoin as a payment method and have turned away from using it. Most customers / people are not ready for the change that bitcoin comes with, as they are just getting used to the current Fiat system - maybe.

We will definitely see a change in bitcoin's popularity over the next few years, where more and more users will start using bitcoin which will push the value up even higher.

Yeah, many people are still not aware of this technology. They think that bitcoins are false. People are afraid of using digital currencies because they fear of getting scammed. May be this is the reason that bitcoins are too expensive. Yeah! Soon the world will accept bitcoins because we are heading towards cashless society and that is not possible without digital currencies.

That's true and real situations happening right now, most of the people really don't know about this all about. Fiat transaction online was still been recognized by those innocent people and I don't see them aware of any kind of bitcoin idea; some were saying it's a mere speculations from me which not even a good impressions for them if I shared about what amount of profit I got through bitcoin earnings. I agree on those parts that bitcoin price is not stable yet, but don't be discouraged because if price will rise higher, you can have spend your profit and drink your favorite wine with you.

In the Netherlands people seem to become quit aware of Bitcoin´s existence since it gets covered in the news pretty often. Unfortunately the news also often points out warnings about bubble signs, making people reluctant to do further research.

Well, it is the EU after all, the governments won't want to give up their power over their citizens and so they're going to do as much as possible to maintain the power structure. If they let their citizens start to get interested and invested in Bitcoin, there would be a shift away from the attempted EU conglomerate economy, and this would result in the lessening of power in a socialist, pre-authoritarian state. That's something they can't have to maintain the hierarchy as they have it developed now.

You're likely not going to get anything positive about Bitcoin in the news. Even if it grows stronger and becomes a major economic tool, it will be classed as something not for the average person, too expensive, all kinds of BS built to dissuade people from getting involved.

It is strange that people in the technology world are not that aware of Bitcoin. It is maybe because they work in silos. Otherwise people would have come across Bitcoin one way or another.

Yeah that's true most people doesn't know Bitcoin yet so this is our chance to get lots of Bitcoin because once every one used Bitcoin it willl become in demand and we have a limited supply of Bitcoin only so the price will surely go up.
