About Arweave


Arweave Arweave is a new data storage protocol on a blockchain like structure called the blockweave. It’s built on a novel proof-of-access consensus mechanism that makes truly permanent, low-cost data storage available for the first time.



Unlike other blockchains we’ve created a truly scalable infrastructure to be the backbone for the data economy because we’re able to reach up to 5000 tp/s, and store data for the long-term at a fraction of the cost of Filecoin, Siacoin, and Storj.

App Developer Reward Campaign Details


This bounty campaign is focused on accelerating the growth of the Arweave developer ecosystem. As such, we will be offering rewards of growing significance as participants climb the ladder towards building a successful and popular Arweave-based application. The first person to reach the top of this ladder will receive a huge bounty reward and potential financial investment from Arweave in the resulting business.


We are offering different rewards at different times in the bounty campaign. The main Arweave network is due to launch on the 8th of June 2018. Some bounty rewards detailed in our pre-launch bounty thread here are only available before our main network launches. The rewards in this thread are only available after the main network launches on the 8th of June, but you should start building now, as mainnet is only 6 weeks away! Post-Launch Bounty Rewards:
(Only available after main network launch on 8th of June 2018)

Step 1) Store 1000GBP worth of data on the Arweave network from an application that you have developed

• Reward granted: 250AR
• Number of bounty rewards available: At least 100

Step 2) Store 10,000GBP worth of data on the Arweave network from an application that you have developed

• Reward granted: 1000AR
• Number of bounty rewards available: At least 15

Step 3) Store 100,000GBP worth of data on the Arweave network from an application that you have developed

• Reward granted: 10,000AR plus a possible seed investment from Arweave
• Number of bounty rewards available: At least 5

Step 4) Store 1,000,000GBP worth of data on the Arweave network from an application that you have developed

• Reward granted: 250,000AR plus a significant investment from Arweave
• Number of bounty rewards available: At least 1

Ongoing Rewards and Prizes

The Arweave application development competition:

To encourage the growth of the Arweave developer community, in 2017 we announced an application development competition with significant prizes available to successful entrants. You can read more about the app development competition here. For full details of competition entry requirements and rules, see here. Entries will be accepted until the closing date of the 3rd of August 2018.

Prizes available include:

For the developer of the winning application:

• Access to an investment pool of up to $10,000 USD
• 125,000 AR

For developers of two runner up applications:

• 62,500 AR each

For all competition entrants:

• 100 AR

Translation Services:

In the future we may commission translations of existing Arweave documentation (including our whitepaper) into various languages. If you have experience of creating high-quality technical translations and you would like to reserve a translation in a specific language, please reply to this bounty thread with your request.

Bounty Campaign Rules

• Bounties will be distributed via email to successful participants upon launch of the main Arweave network, scheduled for the 8th of June 2018.
• It is your responsibility to ensure you provide accurate registration information on the campaign registration web form here, as we will use this information to verify your participation and grant your rewards.
• You must post the required evidence for your campaign actions in this bounty thread as requested.
• We reserve the right to reject bounty claims to bad actors, claims made on a fraudulent basis, to users that break the rules or the spirit of the campaign, or that break the rules of Bitcointalk.org, Telegram, or any other communication platform related to the campaign.

I've ammended the original post to better explain this in detail. As of the pre-sale the value associated to each ARC token is £0.09, so for example being rewarded 50 ARC would equal £4.50. This associated value is subject to change after the pre-sale. Thanks for joining the campaign! I've amended the post to include a description of how the rewards and wallets will be distributed at the end of the campaign, but I'll happily clarify here as well. We plan to give each user who participated in the bounty campaigns a link to their respective wallets which shall include their rewards at the end of the bounty campaign periods.

In regards to displaying participants, we do not plan to release a list of all bounty campaign attributers due to data protection concerns.

Regarding retweets we have this setup in place of rewards:

• A tweet posted by yourself that is using the hashtag or @ArchainTeam which is retweeted 100 times will receive 25 ARC.
• A tweet posted by yourself that is using the hashtag or @ArchainTeam which is retweeted 1000 times will receive 150 ARC.
• A tweet posted by yourself that is using the hashtag or @ArchainTeam which is retweeted 2500 or more times will receive 500 ARC.

We're open to suggestions though! If you have an idea we'll happily discuss it and come back to you with an update.

We've seen that this is common with other bounties and we can confirm that we have you received both your Facebook and Twitter campaigns entries.

We're not planning on releasing this data yet as some of it may contain personal information that some users may not want publically available.

In regards to receving rewards we have metrics in place to measure content provided by each user, once the campaigns have finished we will distribute
wallet links to each respective user with their associated rewards.
