I think no there are no exact date when the altcoin price will recover but there are few altcoin already recover right now. but if the altcoin will rise again and the bitcoin will continue to increase the price then it will be double profit to us.

It's a good guess. There's nothing that can stop bitcoin anytime soon until the segwit2x morons start talking about hardfork again, ruining the price. But consider that during bitcoin crashes, all alts seem to crash too...it's difficult to guess how alts will react. I don't think it's as easy as saying "BTC bullrun = alts bear" and "BTC bearrun = alts bull". From my experience, the best time to buy is during the dip of whatever you want to buy, just pay attention to what you have on mind.

it is a good assumption but i wouldn't get my hopes high. in 2-3 months we may never see a hard fork or it may even be another 100% fork for bitcoin without any issues!

If the price would behave like this im sure hitting $5000 would really be easy as of this state where we know the price moves too fast as of now in a matter of weeks or days the price had risen too much and honestly speaking i didnt expect to hit 4k price to easily since i do expect for this price to be hit up on september to october. Price of altcoin are starting to recover up as of now it might be small movements but it indicates a good sign of reversal later on which we should really watch out.

with your assumption if market for btc keeps showing strong grounds then we need to wait for much longer time for the alts market to recover back

That is why is really hard to predict the price swing specially in alt coin. Though ETH has surpassed $300 now, the the rest of the coin you mentioned is very volatile. And I think you are trapped already, so unless those altcoins will just pump and give you at least a return and not a lost, you can't exit and do anything for now but to wait.

Regarding the question of OP, its really hard to say when will they recover, because as I have said they are volatile and very sensitive to any negative news and dumping by individuals. We didn't imagined bitcoin to get to $4000 isn't it. So it's gonna be very difficult to speculate.

The alts had an almighty pump around April and May, and won't recover for months.

Take a look at the doge chart for example:

There is a pump around every nine months. It's similar for other alts. They won't pump back up until some whale has managed to accumulate a bunch at low prices. So we're looking at the end of the year for the next pump.

Looks like this time the big marketcap alts weren't the place to be to profit from the bitcoin correction. Sometimes it's good to be holding some of the more rare coins and hope for the best. Very good point, it is an unpredictable environment and playing on popular picks sometimes does not bring happiness. Just like picking sleepers at NBA draft. There are rare but they can explode and gain much popularity later.
