I think trading altcoin is more profitable if you know what you are doing .I personally trade altcoins and at the moment i am all in altcoins just few btc.
Altcoins might be profiting big, but bitcoin gives an assurance or an trust for the holding amount. Majority of the users make an good earning through altcoins and hold those earnings for long term usage in the form of bitcoin. So both were mutually important for a bigger profiting.
Correct, alts are great money makers but are not the best when it comes to storing your wealth long term since most coins disappear after a few years but bitcoin is the first crypto and it is still here so that gives confidence to investors that bitcoin is not going to disappear overnight.
You are right. I think altcoin will not be a good idea in any case. The reason which I think is that market value of altcoin stands nowhere. Altcoin is nothing but a fire cracker which will lighten us for a while and will then it’s all over. You can never rely on it for a longer term and better profits.

I have come to realize in recent time that holding bitcoin in ones wallet is more profitable and a little bit risk free as compared to trading altcoin or what do you think ?

It depends on how well you do with altcoin trading. If you know what you are doing and you get lucky sometimes, you could make some good profits with trading.

You can also probably do fine if you just buy and hold Bitcoins. Its also a lot easier to just hold because trading is a lot of work if you do all the research and follow the charts every day.
I think this is key, altcoin trading can be more profitable but holding bitcoin long term, is easier, safer and anyone can do it, the only downside is that is getting harder to get a bitcoin thanks to the high prices, so if you want to play it safe hold bitcoin but if you want to risk it then trade altcoins.

Actually to win the game we must play it right.

If it's harder for some people to acquire bitcoin then changed it so that they can able to hold.

If it's harder for some people to acquire an altcoins then changed it so that they can able also to hold.

In this type of activity, being afraid and regrettable must be minimized. There is no easy path to take profits so to make a profit from both holding bitcoin or altcoin, we must be eager to do this.

It depends on the timing or the techniques that you are doing. Altcoins and bitcoins are both profitable if you just do the right position like when to hold or sell to get a lot of profit.

For me both of this is important because almost my bitcoin came from the altcoin. I choose to earn a token instead of buying because of the income, I don't want to lose some money, so if my token earned was converted to bitcoin it is enough for me because I have an income. After that I choose to hold it to bitcoin for another profit, cause I know that bitcoin price will increase due to increasing of user.

From my experience trading altcoins is much more profitable than holding bitcoin..
Sometimes a altcoin pumped 10x in just a few days but bitcoin price increase slowly ...
Holding bitcoins is also a good idea .. As Bitcoin is the future Currency

However , the basics of finding and dealing with these coins can be very profitable if you know what you're doing. Get the right altcoin and sell and buy it at a right time can give you a lot of profits., but most people do not know the right time to sell or buy and hence are un-sucessful.

Trading bitcoins is more preferable than holding it in your wallets. People trade bitcoins mostly when their prices are high in the market and invest more in it when their prices are low in market. If you don’t know much about trading then you must hold your bitcoins till you expertise this field of trading.

I agree do keep the bitcoin in the wallet more secure and secure. compared with our altcoin trading which is likely to cause losses. bitcoin is worth keeping in the wallet and in the long run. different from altcoin that can not be stored in the long run many of the risks faced one of them altcoin can be lost from the market anytime without the knowledge of the owner

If you are an experienced trader,  trade is the best option, otherwise ,the trader will certainly be more risky than hold.

I'm a little disappointed that altcoin can not be stored on long-term prospects. I had a little different opinion on these points. But there's nothing to be done if this is so.

You should choose altcoin which has good idea, strong team and which always give information in social media about their developmnets. It`s better to look for altcoins which will have some announcements soon, but in this moment are on the lowest price... so you can buy, wait week ar a month and your BTC can grow in 30-100% or more.

I agree with you that storing btc in a wallet is safer as the profit it brings is not as much as selling the altcoins. Currently btc market is quite stable so when investing btc then it must be a long-term investment. As for altcoins, some altcoins appear to be very stable and some of them fluctuate constantly. If you have enough confidence and knowledge about the business then it is an opportunity to enrich yourself. But the risk is not small.

For me trading altcoin is better and more profitable and ofcourse you can earn much more if you were have a knowledge in trading and also the skill.. Than holding it because of the unstable value when you only holding it.

trading is definitely more profitable in both short and long period!  but there is a "but":

-you need to study deep on trading and need a lot of practice before trying with big money
-you need a strong stomach and a lot of patient

if you don't follow this basic rules, maybe you will start like me doing a great job (just fortune) but in the long period without strong technical skills you will lose everything, missing right entry and exit and you will arrive at my personal poin in which i decided to STOP TRADING START INVESTING =D

I think altcoins trade is more profitable than holding bitcoin, indeed trading altcoins has a big risk if compared with holding bitcoin, but I think we should dare to take risks and if we do trading properly then we can minimize the risk.

I agree that holding bitcoin has less risk but trading altcoins will give you more bitcoins. You just need to be very careful on what coins you will be trading. Research or those on top 10 coin market cap are some alts that are safe. But if you want to risk there are lot of coins will give you big profit. As they say, Do not put all your eggs in one basket and invest what you can afford to lose.

I guess you have practically answered your own question. Holding of course is risk free and for long term profit without bothering about the news and drops, it is best. Most esoecially if you do not have an idea how to trade. However, for both short and long term, daily trading is more profitable as this gives you the chance to multiply your coin but comes with more risk of loosing them too if you are not careful. Trading altcoins though can be extremely more risky.
