Trading altcoin and holding bitcoin which one is more profitable?

Trading altcoins is far more better than holding bitcoin. Though bitcoin do increase in value time to time and it has returned hundred of thousands of dollars  to it early holders I think altcoins flipping is still more profitable. For example neo last week alone give over 800% profit to its investors as returned! For now if bitcoin try it best it can only give  hundred percent returned  which is very hard for bitcoin to move to  $8000 plus.

Both options are profitable, given that you know how to go about them. Holding Bitcoin definitely proves profitable in the long term, if you have an idea of where the price will go. Trading altcoins is risky and you have to choose well not to stumble upon a shitcoin.

Trading altcoins is particularly riskier than trading Bitcoin, because the small capitalization of altcoins create leeway for whales or anyone with a chunk of them to manipulate their prices with ease, also it is increasing difficult to predict the direction and price of altcoins.

The two are not the same thing though because with trading, you are taking considerable amount of risk which is not the same for holding which is purely hope. For someone who don't want to take any risk, or does not have the skills of trading, then he can just hold and hope and also not be jealous of someone who is trading because with the right information, he is definitely going to make more profit than him.

I do not really know what to say about that. It is true that I have lost BTC by trading with altcoins, but earned more I think than lost I think.

One thing is true however: if I had just bought BTC and HODL, now I could sell a portion of them, recover the fiat, and still have a lot of BTC.

I’m not trying to sound harsh but you probably lost more than what you won, true successful traders have very detailed records of all their trades and they know exactly how much money they won and lost in each trade, if you do not know then the most likely explanation is that you lost money.

Sometimes I wonder why wasting my time with trading altcoins. You just need to hold your bitcoins and to wait as the value increases daily. While trading altcoins you need to watch, follow, wait, taking risk and sometimes for nothing, you end with less Bitcoin lol.

I recently invested in a project that earned me 10X profit just in a month. Try to start with small amounts and loss wouldn't be that major. Well I may say that I made a bad move when I chose trading over holding BTC. Trading is really volatile and I am having a huge loss now. Trying to recover somehow and I'll move back my funds to BTC. For those who have huge funds, they do BTC save + day time trading. In that way they can play alts wisely. I hope alts can recover anytime soon, I am just waiting just to have a break even. To be honest, I am just new with trading and I learned a lot from that short period of time. Trading alts is not safe, no assurance at all.

I choose to hold bitcoin than trading altcoin. What I see is not about like or not and fee, but more about history price action and volume. Bitcoin price giving me high profit than trading altcoin, and altcoin give me loss with xrp. Not a good experience when loss but I learn hold is more profitable than trading. The risk, I don't care about it, we all know but people have different strategy to face it. Believe your skill and patience is the key. Good luck.

they are both profitable. if you have a enough bitcoin, you can try both of this options. you can split your bitcoin into two particular way. the half of your bitcoin is in your wallet holding it until it pump to the moon,and the other half is in altcoin to earn not much bitcoin but its better to have than to have none. you can both earn more profit from them. but its a quite risky in a way of trading but somehow your luck shows in it.

This is correct, solid altcoins like ethereum do not have that problem since the user base is big and the market cap is big as well but for altcoin with very low market capitalization, it is very hard to predict their prices especially with pump and dump groups that manipulate the prices of those coins.

Only in altcoins we will be able to see prices going up 100x in a few months. But it's very rare, and most of these coins will fail miserably. I'd rather have smaller gains on safer ground, which is Bitcoin, which by the way has been one of the most profitable assets in recent years.

Keeoing your bitcoins and trading altcoins are both profitable I could say but if youre asking which one could gwnerate more profit then off course it would depend on your skills. There are traders I know whou can double or even triple their principal in one day which keeping btc cant do. Yet trading would need knowledge and understanding of how altcoins are moving in the market and if you dont have enough ability on deciding which altcoin to buy and hold for certain period of time you may just lose money so better keep your btc.

It is hard to say which one is more profitable because trading profit is depend on your analyzing skill and how good is your speculation, if you are professional and good trader you can make more profit by trading alt coin, but if you don't have that skilled it is better to just hold Bitcoin, if you don't want to risk your coin then holding Bitcoin is a better option

In terms of risk, there is way too great risks involved in trading altcoins than when you just hold your bitcoin and let it make profits for you. But there is much more money in trading altcoins with skills compared to just holding. But equip yourself with those skills first.

There is not a definite answer for this, if you are good at trading then trading altcoins is without a doubt a better business but if you suck at trading like most people then it is easier to buy bitcoin and hold it and obtain more profits than what you could have got in trading.

Oh great man, I think you are using both altcoin and bitcoin well in my opinion if you are trading then both are good. Just difference in my sight is that altcoin is something for lower level traders and bitcoin is for experienced as it cost high. And holding bitcoin is better only if you have some other source of earning. And you have much patience in you. In short both are good in trading but only bitcoin is good for holding.
