Yes, it is normal to recover what you bet with the challenge itself, and get the plus of the prize, even when sometimes the prize is small because of the people playing.
This is what I like the most of Primedice challenges: basically you participate KNOWING that you are going to earn more than what you bet.

Its always not true that you will have to bet less than the amount you are going to win in the prize more than what you lose in bets.
I've personally had experience where my losses have been much much more than I could ever recover if I ever win the challenge.
The house is still in overall +ve when it distributes the prizes to winners.

Im sure that if people keep betting with that low multiplier everyone will be EV+ that means the house is EV- for this event. Overall they are still making profit of course because we are talking about primedice and they are making bitcoin from those losing gambler even now as we speak of it but in this event it is different.

I am not talking of the overall profit that gets generated due to the normal betting that goes on that does not aim to win the giveaway, but also the bets that are made for the give everyone is not in +EV, many (and more than those in +EV are in -EV).

Hence, it is not even a direct giveaway as house isnt giving away anything from its own share, but is redistributing the lost money of players

With that respect, that means in your mindset there isnt any site that is doing giveaway because they are only redistributing what player lose? thats a lame mindset to be honest. I already successfully completed this one. It was pretty easy, compared to 22.22 hunting in which I didn't succeed, or maybe I was just lucky this time. I don't know why this 22.22 was so hard for me to hit because recently, during another PD giveaway I hit the desired 77.77 pretty quickly. Anyway, it's nice that PD continues to run these different giveaways while being such a popular dice site that one might think they don't need any promotion at all.

I doubt there will be 150 valid entries, it's more like 100 or a bit more, but even 50k satoshis is a good prize imo. Also, what is good is that they run giveaways more frequently than before these days, (or at list it looks like that to me). The "Bull Run Challenge!" giveaway is the 11th of a similar kind since January 1st. Congrats on completing this one, btw.

I do not know why primedice doing this instead of giving 100 random people 50k satoshi or even higher. This is just the same way as that, but why that he wants us to wagered it there? With using of higher winning chance and 100 as minimal bet is just too easy. I do not understand that anyway but yet this kind of event is pretty easy to complete

Think I did something stupid or my timing was really bad. I sent a deposit right before the site went down and thought I wrote down the right account name and password but the deposit address is different and nothing is in my account.

Can you verify if the addresses where changed due to the upgrade so I can eliminate one aspect of figuring out where I sent my funds too?

Primedice 5 has been officially launched!

This update is mainly an update to our back-end, Primedice 4 was running off restrictive legacy code from a couple years ago. It's been challenging to add features like multi-currencies & multiplayer with our old system so we've completely replaced it with something which will scale and let us quickly integrate new features. The design has been touched up a bit and everything should be a bit more responsive & quicker.

We're aware there are small bugs floating around, let us know and we'll patch them as quickly as possible. We weren't able to migrate old seeds so we recommend setting a custom seed, I apologize for a lack of notice regarding this but we wanted to get the website up today. If the website looks funny we recommend clearing cache and hard reloading.

In the majority of Primedice events, the house edge is on player's side, as long as you participate with the minimum bet and the number of players winning the prize are not crazy (let say, no more than 600/700 players).

Anyone up here who knows how to solve the issue which makes the buttons/design/chatbox/list of bets disappear after clicking roll dice ?

However it looks like now you are forcing users to create their own client seed? I don't think this is wise since most people will chose a nonrandom seed like "1234567890" or "111111111111". In the end I don't think it will alter the roll but it seems strange to do.

Also it says you have 0 confirmation deposits, however how will you deal with double spenders?

Basically a lot of casinos had issues with this where a gambler would quickly send a deposit, bet and if they lost they would attempt and double spend their deposit. So practically gambling risk free. Hope you guys have some protection against these types of actions.

Thank you, basically the confidence that the transaction will not be double-spent is calculated and it is credited at 0 confirmation if it's above a high threshold. We tried the same at stake and have so far not been doublespent.

But of course they will know it if any player is doing the double spend or not, they do not have this thing for quite some time because they already make their deposit instantly like many of other site do. So it just impossible for people to doublr spent their input. Anyway if you lose, you will just stay the same, there is no way you can get it back with double spent
