I don't know vault doesn't seem any more difficult than just keep it on your wallet. Hell wallet is even harder considering you need to also deposit the money from your wallet to primedice. So if you do not want to play on primedice (or gamble in general) send the money to your own wallet, its still not a great deal of protection but its fairly same difficulty as the vault.

I have done a better job at putting a 2FA on my wallet and installed the 2FA on my wife's phone. So now anytime I want to deposit or withdraw money from the wallet I have to ask my wife for the code. Now that is not the end of the world and if a gambler is addict I am sure they can always find a way but I really do think that if you are not a compulsive gambler than you can do something similar to this and it would slow you down a lot.

Im guessing you're mentioning an external wallet?
If that's so you will always pay some withdraw fees where Vault doesn't.

Therefore an easier solution.

It is hard to build up trust, so it is amazing to see the trust level of Primedice at the moment.
No doubt why they have been one of the most trusted and long running dice site until now.
Building trust needs a strong foundation and Primedice did it and even now they are maintaining that trust level that has been brought to them by their users. I've been playing dice with them few years ago but when I started to change game genre and taste, I stopped them but I have always noticed the popularity of PD. They never get old although they are one of the oldest dice and is also being imitated by many other dice sites.

-snip-

Hey I’ll agree with you gambling stories is needed in this thread, and other gambling threads to keep up the excitement and see other gamblers journey. In my personal opinion these stories inspire fellow gamblers to bet big for bigger returns, or they learn the valuable advice of betting only the money they can afford to loose. I’m feeling sad you were not able to buy a house, but I’m happy that you did not loose yourself and hopefully you’ll be able to buy yourself a house too.
It is alright I do not mind it because I know what I was doing. First of all when I lost that much money I never knew price would be that high one day, I was just gambling for gambling sake and I felt like I was playing in fiat. I do not recall exactly how much it was at that time but it was seriously low and I wasn't really considering 20k dollars would be possible one day.

So of course it feels a bit weird to know that if I kept it and sold at 20k I would have had 100k+ maybe closer to 200k in dollars which is insane amount of money but I also know that I would have sold a ton of it sooner which I actually did, sold most of my coins at 3k actually during the summer before bitcoin went up (the bitcoin cash summer) so all in all I feel like gambling that money is not that much of a loss, it was all worth for the entertainment and memories I made. 10/10 would lose it again.
Some people would actually recall into the money that they had lost on gambling sites and the amount they have spend. They do think out that if they didn't able to spend those coins they might
able to get some big profits but well same as you said It doesn't really matter at all on what rate you do actually spend your coins as long those amounts are intended for the sake of entertainment you
shouldn't really regret at all.

I think one of the purposes of the vault is to prevent you from accidently hitting "MAX" and click bet and end up losing your entire balance in one bet (if its a loss). Or perhaps if you accidentally do a fat finger bet and set a base bet higher than intended, say by 1 or 2 decimal places incorrect.

I realise that MAX bet is hidden now but it wasn't in the past and it would of saved my account from being emptied when I used to make manual bets. Basically ended up moving the mouse way too far and instead of 2x, I clicked MAX and hit the Bet and ended up losing entire account.

It is a good feature you guys have right now but I do not think that there is so mich different with our own safe. Sorry no offense but here I think, there is a lot of cold wallet that can pretty secure to have so instead of saving it online, people are tend to do it offline. Second thing, I would like to ask what is the benefits for us if we save pur money in your vault? There is nothing like a bank that can give us some interest right? And if we withdraw it, there would be cost some extra fee as well. If only you can give a good reason for this may be I will have some second thought

Yeah, I had many opportunities of earning/buying bitcoins in the span of many years I have been around and many times I have either cashed out or spend bitcoins on stuff like gambling or purchasing stuff. For example I have bought many avatar/graphics on fiverr many times and back in that day it was all 5 dollars - 10 dollars and whatever but if you take it as bitcoins than today it would worth hundreds of dollars each combined for thousands of dollars.

So all in all spending bitcoin on stuff back in the day was the norm for bitcoin, we didn't use bitcoin to make profits and make that into more and more dollars, we used it to buy and sell stuff, earn and spend it, that is what bitcoin was to us. I still to this day earn and spend bitcoin instead of buy and sell bitcoin and that's why it was a great feeling which I am still doing today, I still gamble a bit and by luck if bitcoin reaches to 50k+ one day even today's bet will worth a lot but that won't stop me from having fun here.

Very important point for everyone that we should be staying away from the greediness before it’s gets in . As once we get in trap of it we will never know that how easily we will be addicted and keep losing money on the bets we play.

It's basically a business that keeps their customers and they have handled it properly. When it comes to dice games, old gamblers who have knowledge on what to trust and respected by the community will always recommend PD.

Very important point for everyone that we should be staying away from the greediness before it’s gets in . As once we get in trap of it we will never know that how easily we will be addicted and keep losing money on the bets we play.
Although there's an integrated vault made by them, it's always a personal decision on how you're going to handle your greediness. Some can easily do it but others just can't, thanks for the reminder anyway.

Trust can not get in minutes, in days, in weeks, or months.
Trust only can build up very very slowly over time.
Therefore, it is too worthy to protect trust of the PrimeDice platform when it already has it.
Gamblers, both old and new ones, can complainst over time. Some time their complaint is right, sometimes is not, but in general those complaints will not able to destroy the trust of PrimeDice if the casino is actually a good one and has good support.

From my observation some of their regular users create a second account as their bank account. To make it easier for them they could just use the vault and stick to one account instead of tipping their bank account every time they profit.

Yeah of course, there would be complaints, people have complaints about google and apple and so forth, those are huge companies that buy out other companies they are that big and people still have complaints about those companies, look at youtube (owned by google and still big even all of its own) and how people are complaining about the copyright issues that exists on youtube where big companies can destroy small channels.

Primedice could see some issues and complaints time to time, thankfully it is very rare and I do not recall a single big accusation towards primedice, not only they didn't had to shutdown any talks about them being a scam but they also never even accused of being a scam, they are that good. However even if they had any small issues they always fixed it right away without disturbing which is what all matters.

Wow, look at that giant stack of Ethereum after winning an 11x bet!
Would you cash out or keep going after a win like this?
If i'm in his/her shoes I would cash out the profit and continue playing with the remaining ETH in my balance.
I would even cash out if I'm ever on that situation.

I'm glad to take the profits and I would glad to continue with some remaining balance.

From my observation some of their regular users create a second account as their bank account. To make it easier for them they could just use the vault and stick to one account instead of tipping their bank account every time they profit.
But do they allow you to hold two accounts? Because as far as I know most sites do not allow you have multiple accounts and track those down who are detected using the same ip address for those accounts. For example cloudbet and nitrogensports to name the two I know of practicing this rule of multiple accounting. Going as far of them banning those accounts from their gambling sites I have seen them warning users about doing this.

And I guess that very last bit you've got isn't your last because you have some more funds stored on your other wallets.  Smiley

You disclosed a very good strategy, that I have not known before you representing it.
That strategy is efficiently in both time-saving, and comfortable experience when using the PrimeDice platform.
From my observation some of their regular users create a second account as their bank account. To make it easier for them they could just use the vault and stick to one account instead of tipping their bank account every time they profit.

No matter what others thought, I think the mentioned strategy is a good one.
Although there's an integrated vault made by them, it's always a personal decision on how you're going to handle your greediness. Some can easily do it but others just can't, thanks for the reminder anyway.
