Is that really the true reason why it is called as BCC. I dont think so. You speaking like a made up answer by just speculating things around bitcoin and fiat currency. May be thats just the name devs gave to it while they were developing the project. I cant agree on that as long as there is official publication saying that bcc is derived from the way it is used, that is to get more cash.

With all the comedy aside,yes it was free money out of thin air,but the idea is pretty good,if they can scale like they are telling it is a genius way,if billions of people can transact then the technology is really cool than for less than a million like we used to see in the past,lets see how these things go and if they could fulfill what they set out to be,then it would be great.

I did not even think of this, but it is likely what happened. The devs got their Bitcoin Cash before everyone else and put their coin back on exchanges when others could not. Yet another major scam in the crypto world... not surprised.

so easy but seems like I didn't understand it before! actually I think this is an ingenious idea in the first place.
It's also why they told everyone not to keep your BTC on exchange. Because the Bitcoin Cash devs and their friends did just that.
Selling 1 BCC for 0.44 BTC --> more BTC --> more CASH. It's an ingenious idea tbh, and it worked! Millions were made. Millions are still made, even at 0.1!
I am also having the same idea about it more BCH to be converted to BTC more cash for us. I also think that it is just another alt-coin nothing more it would only be played in the market . |

There will be more artificial pumps so that the core team and their friends could cash out more Bitcoins through their BitcoinCash. So if you haven't sold your BCH then hold them, you'll get a time to sell them. |

Aha! Someone cracked the code! I always wondered why it was called Bitcoin Cash aside from being a weak rip-off, now it all makes sense to me. It's actually funny looking at the market value of BCC now, down to $290 and down 30% against their day-to-date value. Really a weak currency and only has a market cap because they have 16M mined already and it piggybacking off of what Bitcoin made. Well, fine by me. Glad to see the scheme collapse and anyone who was dumb enough to actually invest in it lost money. Good lesson for all. |

yes apparently bitcoin holders realized that they can also pull off an Ethereum-style hardfork and get money out of thin air.. ingenious idea. And done better then ETH.. because we have replay protection.
I was against in the beginning it but now am waiting for the next one.

BCC is just a free money.. no backed by anything it was given free. So dont expect that it has value. For me BCC is just a shit coin. |

BCC is just a free money.. no backed by anything it was given free. So dont expect that it has value. For me BCC is just a shit coin. Just play with it like a basic altcoin. I'm sure it will dump by the end of this year so better sell it when it's on its hype. Altcoins were bought or obtained through means of service but selling this bitcoincash to the market that they all got for free, are you kidding me? Let those fools buy it. |

I loved the idea of forking btc to gain more btc. When do we get next fork? I'll try to allocate more BTC for next fork. And I'll consider keeping my coins on Bittrex before fork happens. So I can sell my forked coins for values like 0.44 :=)

Hubris. What if you’re the fool here? @AnonyMint posits that the reason is so they can buy your BCC with BTC that they plan to double-spend (steal) from you in a long-range blockchain reorganization, along with stealing the SegWit booty. |
