OP, your update doesn't make sense.  To ensure fairness you SHOULD be posting the source and binaries before launch so they can be checked out and make sure every platform has a client to mine with.  Then when it launches everyone has a fair shot.

genesis block is hardcoded in the code => no way to post final binaries without genesis block

you can do a source code release with genesis block left empty.

LTC: LQx367oQtbwsc7Ygf9S1B6E1d9LuGk7v11
Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

It seems EVERY new coin is launched by eastern European teenagers mining the genesis block on a damn flip-phone! Seriously, not a SINGLE coin launch without pre-mine or launch at set time. Should remind people of what we are dealing with here. Read 'Pro' operations.

I bet they had Hazard code and compile everything and then they are stuck mining genesis block on a fucking Abacus in the Ural mountains on GPRS!

In Eastern Europe every teenager has an i7 as well as every flat has been connected via 100 Mbps cable. You know this now.

lol i think we're slowly establishing the protocol to launch a new coin out of chaos...

YAC launch was the best.
It's too bad they chose such a dumb name for that coin.

but the person you quoted was talking about source code as well... so... i am still at the right context.

Ports:
8550 Connect
8551 JSON RPC

Maybe this is why i can never connect solo - what are these ports for?

I get the config and the , pointing back from the miner to the config.

but what are the above ports for, (opening netstat right now.)

open 8550 in your firewall/router. The other is just used in your miner config.

Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

8550 => communication between nodes, don't change it (don't use port=8550 in nibble.conf)

8551 => point your miner to it (you can change it with rpcport=1234 and then point your miner to ip:1234)
