yes, but best to have a mother board which can install lots of AMD CPU

why not use GPU Vega64?

It's for fun -- I have a bunch of GPU as well (and 3 of the Vega64 on order).

350h/s with cpu ryzen 5 1600... I use xmr-stak-cpu ( 1,3,5,7,9,11 cores)

Yah mine isn't doing that high at stock for sure -- also using 8 threads.

Well... obvious moment here... I hadn't done the steps to enable "huge pages" yet... so now I am 600+ OC to 3.85 Ghz after doing that. Woops =)

It's definitely impressive CPU speed but is that really sustainable for the CPU or couldn't it easily go up in smoke?

Here we have active project, with excellent devs and community, and BTW no ICO, so devs are interested in developing and growing.

I doubt it -- my Ryzen runs at only 52 C with 8-threads running all the time. Assuming a good heat-sink I don't think it will be a problem.
