Yeah for me its a good idea for Pres. Duterte to implement the war on drugs but it has a down side too. Likely here in manila where the drug den is many. But it scares me the most when you are being disputed to be one of the drug pushers youll be put down by a cop or vigilante people without being investigated or questioned.

I think the war on drugs is an extreme operation done by the President, however I also think that it is a neccessary one. With the war on drugs, there has been a feeling of security and a feeling that the police have been doing their job. Yes, I also condone the killings and also would want an investigation to be implemented however, I also think that the war on drugs has been doing its job on curbing the disaster that the Philippines has been and making it a better place

In my opinion its the best thing to do now, other past presidents in the Philippines can never do what Pres. DU30 have achieve, not only that he have eliminated majority of big syndicates, he have also raised awareness to people that even the (some) good politicians have dark-sides too. Not to mention that he is not afraid to die at any time as long as he believe what he is doing is for the betterment of the economy of the Philippines. Though he have miscalculated that there would be lots of extra judicial killings and some syndicates are using the EJK to eliminate their enemies and protect themselves, i still believe that if he and his program be a success, then the future of Philippines is safe and the economy will raise even more. In certain countries, the only option left is the "hard" approach. Here, Duterte didn't had any other option. The "soft" approach had failed multiple times in the past. And this new approach has been hugely successful so far.

Just last week were a student was killed by the policemen while doing their operation in accordance with the war on drugs.  I feel sorry for the child as well for the family that this happened to them.  I do not know why at that time he was still outside their house.  Is their no curfew in their area?  Anyways the policemen who killed the minor were already dismissed with their service and a case was filed already against them.

Anyways, I still support the campaign of the president against his war on drugs.

Yeah.. I heard about a few incidents like that. It happens as a result of collateral casualties. Out of the 6,000+ people killed so far in the war on drugs, may be 10% or 20% were innocent bystanders who didn't had any connections with the drugs mafia.

Evidently, there war on drugs is bloody and unlawful. Many lives had been taken away, innocent or guilty. But for me this is the best way to fight against drug prevalence in the country. Why it became bothersome? The implementation of the "Oplan Tokhang" and the uneducated and undiscipline policemen of PNP. Maybe its a win-win situation, because our late presidents ignore this problem and now a colossal one, there are lives should be sacrifice for others to live.

His campaign against drugs has been seen with a positive outlook during the election, but when he became the president and performing his duty about war on drugs, we can see some side effects of this campaign. Most police with association with drugs are using their power to kill their runners just to maintain their names clean. Another one is some of big time drug lords are killing their connection with drugs before they being investigated. People are trying to be blind sided with these issues. I agree.  Indeed he is the best president that the Philippines have.  He is the only one who walk his talk.  When he said during his campaign that he really put a war on drugs and it will be bloody, he did it.  It is literally bloody.   But if you are not a drug addict or a murderer or a criminal, then there is nothing to be afraid of.  Even before his term there were many crimes and killings of innocent people.  It is just that in his term, majority of people who were killed were the criminals.

I think it had some good and bad effect, it really lessen drug activities in Philippines but somehow it's quite a bad image for our country. A lot of people died because of it, and we don't even know if they are really related to drugs or it's just part of summary execution. There was an incident where a teenager was killed because he was a drug suspect, I think there should be due process to it.

He didn't made any new laws. But he made use of the existing laws, in order to reduce the drug trade and crime rate. But corruption in the police resulted in a lot of innocent people getting framed on fake charges. That should have been avoided.

It is not like he is going around and personally killing all those drug pushers. The orders given to the cops are very clear. I am a Filipino and I think that the president is doing a great job. in fact, we feel more safer walking the streets at night compare to the previous years where criminality was rampant. Robbery,murder and rape at all sides and the suspects caught we're if not influenced we're identified and tested positive on meth also known as "Shabu" here in the Philippines. there is a crisis in the drug trade and people selling drugs are afraid thanks to the continuous effort of our law enforcement agencies especially PNP and PDEA.  For me, people who disagrees about his war on drugs are either shallow thinkers or maybe involved in the Illegal drug trade.. people who don't care about the victims killed by illegal drug users. Drug addiction is one of the reason of the big number of crimes in our countries these days. I agree with you on the part that many innocents are being killed, and I think that is too much and is not the best way to fight drugs. So far, almost all of the victims are from the marginalized sector of society. In short, those being killed, the poor, are only the pushers, users and middlemen. Nothing ever happens to the actual drug lords.

Another country in central america tried to do the same thing, creating a war on drugs that also killed many poor people. However, they stopped after years as they found out that what they were doing was futile, and that it achieved nothing.

Students, children, and many more innocents are only considered as "collateral damage" by this campaign against drugs. It's safe to say that yeah it's part of the campaign and that there are consequences, but once it happens to you or your family, I assure you that you won't feel the same. It's extremely unfair to the innocent.

Some might say that what do we prefer, that we let rapists and murderers kill innocents or we kill the drug addicts instead? I'm sorry but that reason is quite illogical, as killing drug addicts doesnt assure that it will significantly lessen criminality, as not all criminals are drug addicts.

i support the war on drug of president Duterte, as a filipino i support myu president cause no one president of th PH did that, He is the only one who did that. drug addiction is like a cancer of society why? cause they commit crimes and they out of their own minds. so we need to stop it spreading or worst we will all in danger and thats why president Duterte doing whats so called "Operation double barrel" to arrest the user, pusher and even the drug Lords.

As a rule, drug addicts commit crimes because drugs on the market are extremely expensive. Therefore, they have to spend all their income on them and there is no money left for the next dose. When they have no money and can't get another dose, they get the cold turkey and lose control of their mind and start robbing and stealing in the urge to get high. However, the reason why drugs cost so much is the war on drugs. If drugs were legal, they would cost extremely cheap so any addict could afford as much as they need and thus there would be no necessity for them to steal and rob as they would steal be able to pay for their addiction maintaining a basic job. The war on drugs is what really makes drugs dangerous.

I think it is a good thing that the President of the Philippines is on war on drugs because criminal rate now in the Philippines has go down to minimum, and many people are scared to do transaction on drugs because of the President of the Philippines, because they know that if they do so, they will be killed.

President Duterte's war on drugs is rightly justified with enormous concern to his own countrymen. But should be accurately and justly should not go against immorality of such killings. He is a human too. We are all humans. We are not God whom can tell to when should a life be ended.

He knows his country. I am not from there and it is hard to judge. I know what the media think about it. I do believe that it is good to have a drug free country. In the USA, the government also did that war with dealers. It was terrible, but nobody talked about the death. Maybe Duterte is doing too much, but fighting crime is never too much. Many families are suffering of that issue and it is good to see him fighting that. I hope he will find a more peaceful way to fight though.
