You probably haven't changed your password since the old leak or have been compromised otherwise (e.g. phishing attack).

A good idea. It's about time that account recovery is handed to someone that does have the time and is actually trustworthy. Account recovery should be a *working* feature of every forum and users should not wait forever just to retrieve their account.
