There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Calling all miners and pool owners:

Dev has depleted the first round of donations with the recent development of DGC.  As many of you have noticed, Dev hard work is showing through the steady rise in DGC exchange price.  There are still a lot of work to be done.  As such, I am asking the community to chip in and donate what you can.  I am calling BigVern and BitJohn over at Cryptsy to support DGC as well because the success of DGC can only mean volumes for you guys.   Wink

I will donate 500 DGC to get things going and from now and tomorrow, I will match any donations up to 100 DGC.  You can see the first round donations on the wiki site.  Let's make Round 2 a much bigger number...

Is there any way to discourage unconsistent miners (pool hoppers) from mining the coin? I think we need a steady increase in both price and diff.

Now i'm using P2P POOL 0% FEE "http://pool.bounceme.net:24397/static/".
With 1.85 MH/s AVG in 12H i've earn 6,0575 DGC per Hour at this difficulty. (3.078)
Is better?
Which pool do you recommend?

Greetings

I'm still mining there. I have been since DGC opened. A little downtime hurt them, but I get nice, consistent payouts.

If you hop on, don't be put off by your first few payouts. It takes about 6-10 blocks to catch up to your hashrate, and you'll get the extra payouts on the back end.  With 2.2 MHs I get about 2 DGC per block.
