baritus, I had the chain sync problem since the beginning with the windows client, I have now switched to linux (Mint) with the new git and I am still getting the same sync problem, it happens much less but it still happen.
I have installed any possible client on this linux machine and none of them failed. Could you please explain, and why not, fix this? Thanks

There are some malicious people who try to sabotage new coins by loading the litecoin blockchain. The source code is completely secure from these childish 'attacks', but the progress bar sometimes sets the countdown off of one of these annoying nodes.

Your wallet is still running normally. The DGC blockchain is still your only connection and you can keep doing everything normally. The annoyance will disappear when the network is somewhat larger and there are enough good nodes.

It's possible, but also pointless since they don't affect the actual blockchain at all. It's just the wallet loading bar.

Thank you for supporting our pool.

I have made another donation of 100 DGC to the development foundation

Super!  Thank you.  Wiki updated.  Where is DGC treasurer Kochmann?  Smiley

Be on the lookout for three XSPC HD7970 water block.  The block doesn't fit my XFX 7970s.   Cry   I'm willing to sell them on the market at a lose just to support DGC development.  Just make sure they fit your cards.

It's getting a bit ridiculous with all the fake announces.

If there is anyway to prevent the wrong block chain being loaded I think it would be worth pursuing. I know that you have stated it does not cause any problems but I believe it causes issues with some of the miners as far as confidence. Is it something that could be dealt with. I would donate some DGC to get it taken care of.

Thanks for explaining, I noticed this as well.  I usually close the client and reopen it and it syncs normally again.

Strangely, some WDC people have stated the exact same useless/malicious activity behind this resync on their wallet, too.  "...litecoin chain trying to be injected into wdc/dgc"

A peer(s) is trying to mess with DGC by adding another altcoins blockchain.

Ignore it. It isn't hurting anything and your wallet is fine.
