Transactions usually complete in a matter of minutes. What kind of transaction are you trying to do? If you're depositing or withdrawing to Cryptsy, then the issue is on their end.

Thank you DannyDisco.
You are right. I found out that have a pending transaction issue on Cryptsy. Made the mistake of trading there once again.

Before that though, my DGC transaction literally arrived within 5 minutes. Compared to bitcoin's min 1 hour time, this is hilarious.

I too made the same mistake after I vowed never to go there again.  Too bad they are the only place I know of that trades ARG.  I've been waiting for a BTC deposit for over 25hrs now.  If it ain't broken, don't fix it.  The old site was fine.

Heavy trading this morning and BTC waves affecting the DGC price.

Great buying opportunity for our beloved DigiCoin right now.

Meanwhile highest miner support (ever?): Network Hash Rate: 3176.00 M/H

The price is now about the same as on the 12th of December; half way on the rise.

I'm going to join the miners again if the Network Hashrate and therefore the Difficulty decreases again, as it's really high. Untill then, I'll keep stacking up my DGC Cheesy (by trading).

{Curently quite inactive as I'm really busy in my private life. I will get back soon!}

I do the same. Bought up some coins just now. Not sure your mining strategy will work out though, there is a good chance the hashrate will not significantly decrease anymore.

If anyone is sick and tired of DGC trading at Cryptsy (or failing thereof), Vircurex supports DGC.

Volume is still low (hopefully will rise now) and the design sucks. But it works. At least the exchange has been reliable for years.
They even pay interests now on BTC, PPC, and LTC. Check my signature, not sure if referral program is still active now that they pay interests, but worth a try.

Why are people dumping DigitalCoin?

You gotta have faith in it

It has to do mainly with the BTC price decline. Because of bots and arbitrage, everything is connected. BTC going down affects almost all alt currencies. Look at LTC, for example. It was 30 Dollars yesterday and 0.036 BTC. BTC loses a few hundred dollars, effectively meaning 0.036 BTC are now worth much less than 30 Dollars. In order to make money, people sell "high" for 30 Dollars until LTC is now effectively 20 Dollars. As a result, 0.036 is overvalued for LTC/BTC. It will go down to reflect lower USD price. Of course, there are moments of relative emancipation but unless people can buy LTC (or DGC for that matter) for USD as easy as they can buy BTC, this ratio won't change.

I hope this makes sense. DGC is, in fact, pretty strong right now. Just because the projected market cap goes up when BTC rises, it doesn't mean an alt is actually worth this price either. In fact, the market cap watch does not say a whole lot, but can only reflect trends.

Hold DGC, or if you just started getting to know about DGC, buy and mine. BTC will go back up in the future and DGC will be less dependent on BTC as soon as we have CryptoAve, meaning price will rise also.

<snip>
DGC will be less dependent on BTC as soon as we have CryptoAve, meaning price will rise also.

I started mining DGC recently mainly b/c of this. That said, watching the network hash rate and difficulty yo-yo back and forth while my round shares plummeted made it really difficult to not point my miners back to LTC.

But I relented and i'm still hashing away with dgc.  Seriously, watching the hash rate skyrocket and difficulty take off soon there after is just really depressing as my estimated dgc/day drops.

Add to it having some colleagues send me updates whenever dgc falls behind LTC on those profitability calculators (only for it to swing right on over after the next difficulty change).

If you are anxious to mine DGC only when it's most profitable you might want to look at mining at a multipool and never worry again about mining the most "efficient" coin with low diff and "highest" market price at the moment.

However, the downside to that is that you end up with a lot coins that shouldn't be supported by mining imo. Then, you will have to worry about selling these coins for the right price, some of which might never have a future.

Mining, therefore, is about making a choice, unless you plan to sell your coins the very moment you mined them. You will miss out massively on future gains though. Otherwise, higher and lower diffs will average out your income for mining, so a few coins more or less shouldn't matter.

Now would be a great time for Cryptoave to start trading while Bitcoin is down.

Digitalcoin would skyrocket with the proper marketing for USD.
