Hi,

I really need some help.

Not getting your BTC from Coinbase is a popular topic and I have read through the latest posts regarding Coinbase and Armory, tried some recommendations but have not managed to get the BTC. Some of the advise are far too techncal for me.

I installed Armory to transfer BTC before the fork since I heard Armory was the best and coinbase would not support Bitcoin Cash. I created a recieving adress in the OFFLINE Armory Wallet and sent BTC to that adress. I sent BTC two times (perhaps not so clever) and the first transaction says "spent", the other one "unspent", both completed.
I did not get any BTC and realized that it probably was not possible without an Online Wallet (which I probably should have used in the first place). Started the online wallet and still did not receive any BTC. Read that I need Bitcoin core which I downloaded (took more than a week) and have synced. Then I have upgraded Armory to 0.96.1 and updated the database. I still have not recieved anything.

Please advise what to do next?  Huh

Thanks in advance, Andreas

You need to import your offline wallet into your online instance of Armory. The two don't auto-sync.

Ok. Thanks. Now I have done that but the online wallet still shows zero balance.
When I check on Bitref it shows the right balance.

You may need to generate some addresses for the wallet. I forget the exact method but I believe there will be a "Generate Addresses" option (or something similar) that you'll see if you double-click the wallet. In any event, make sure that the addresses with the coins are actually being used. If they're present, you may need to restart Armory, and if that doesn't work, you can rescan the blockchain. If that doesn't work, logs will be needed.

Hi droark,

Some questions.
"You may need to generate some addresses for the wallet." --- Do you mean that I should, in the online-wallet, generate addresses to receive coins?
"I forget the exact method but I believe there will be a "Generate Addresses" option (or something similar) that you'll see if you double-click the wallet. In any event, make sure that the addresses with the coins are actually being used." --- Now "the addresses with the coins", which addresses would that be?
I am sorry but I am a bit lost.
