It's clear that actually it was the only option. So no blame for the actions but for the lack of protocol. I know it sound useless to premit treatment to someone in a place full of people who want nothing but the elimination of israel and who would never grant such leniency.
However it could be try to give the chance once for a hospital to heal the invaders/occupiers to then arrest them and execute them. Of course i bet they would rally around the hospital and wage jihad against israelis forces and as such resulting in the flattening of the hospital (ain't america/nato let die friendlies watching, happily).
It's just sad that the invaders wouldn't agree to return the terorists healed and force a low intensity useless search in a hospital.

Wars are made to be won. All signs of mercy will be taken for weakness when the ennemies is irrational. Suffering and closeness to extermination often breach the pride for a return to sanity. At least there are survivors.
