I had a question about how to account for ownership for sveetsnelda and this was his answer: 

Correct.  ASICMINER shares started out on GLBSE (an old Bitcoin exchange) a little under a year ago.  When the exchange folded, there was no record of who owned what shares.  Eventually the owner of GLBSE sent the records to Friedcat (and other security owners).  Since then, Friedcat has kept track of the shares manually because he doesn't want to deal with that nightmare again.  He was going to set up an exchange quite some time ago, but he's been busy making shareholders money instead.  A wise move.  Eventually when things calm down, I'll bet he'll set up an exchange.

Thanks for sharing.  I've lost track of what was in the thread and what was PMs.  I've had an outrageous amount of PMs over this auction (not just from the winners).  It's getting difficult to keep track.  Here's the other part of the answer:

Friedcat will send me a confirmation email once everything is transferred.  Whether he sends emails to each individual is up to him.  The best way to confirm that you own the shares will be when you see the dividends hit your BTC address.

He usually doesn't send out confirmation emails to everyone, but who knows.  Like I said in my message, I'll see if I can get someone else to confirm it (like John or burnside) since they'll get a confirmation email.

I got a confirmation email also a small 0.0000001 BTC deposit into my address.

Although I never got the dividend so I think the transfer occured after it...

Nobody has gotten their dividends yet (just the confirmation Satoshis).  Sometimes it takes a little bit for Friedcat to send them.

For anyone who used escrow, could you please post and verify that you got the transfer emails and small transfer from Friedcat?  I'm not sure that John K was included in the email (unless Friedcat sent a separate one).

er...   correction -- it looks like some people have gotten their dividends (according to the AM thread).  I haven't gotten mine yet either.

My client doesn't show the unconfirmed transaction for the dividends, but blockchain.info does.  My client must have just missed the broadcast for some reason.  I'm sure I'll see them once they're included in a block (and you should too).

For those of you who transferred your shares to BTCT.co, Friedcat replied that the transfer was complete about 8.5 hours ago.

For those of you who see your satoshis, but not your actual dividends, please check the ASICMINER thread.  There are quite a few people waiting on their dividends because there was a hiccup in the transaction that Friedcat made.  I'm sure it'll be sorted.  I'm waiting on mine as well.

I got the confirmation from friedcat thru email. I didn't get the satoshis but I do see the right amount of divs waiting for confirmation on the blockchain. I'm sure it'll be sorted out by AM.  Thank you, sveetsnelda.
