I've been running estimations (using charts & BTC/LTC history as a yardstick) and I think the price will probably rise up to $6 within 2/3 months then hover between $5-$8 for awhile. Difficulty is harder to predict however...

Question is whether mining LTC is the best use of your resources. I've found going to Merged Mining (have a look at bitminter.com for example), has led to more consistent and better yields beyond the single moment market snapshots. I was converting any LTC I had anyway to BTC- and this reduces the amount of trades needed- increased the stability of the miners when you push them hard to maximise Hash Rate, and ultimately- is a safer bet.

have you seen this? http://dustcoin.com/miningIt gives you a good idea on which coins are the most profitable per KH/s-MH/s.

Considering the few Litecoins I mined around 1 year ago when almost no one cared about it were at 0.003$ back then and now they're 3$, I can believe anything. I certainly will wait to see what happens. And I also deeply regret stopping mining back then, but who could predict this climb

It is reasonable to think that litecoin will be 1/4 the price of bitcoins, based on supply. Another factor is that litecoins are easier to mine, and could be more accessible to people in the future, which could raise the cost. I've recently noticed a number of new merchants now accepting litecoins, it seem promising.

If mtgox lists it, price will rise for sometime and later will stabilize between 3-5 dollars area.

Litecoin is slowly gaining vendors who are willing to use it. I have seen 3-4 new ones within the past week alone. I hope this means LTC is here to stay and will continue to gain value.

Well I heard that an exchange recently announced trade of LTC to be conducted at their service. Perhaps that might significantly drive the price up. Now would be a good time to trade a few BTC for LTC (for those that own a significant number of BTC).

Speculation on LTC price aside, in order for myself (a merchant and buyer) to support Litecoins more, there needs to be better price stability and liquidity.
I think that once Mt Gox gets on board with Litecoins and the Atlantis Litecoin market has more trading, we'll see some wild swings before stabilization at around 5-10 USD/LTC. Just my two cents.
