Is there anywhere I can get GPUs & FPGA in exchange for BTC? I will have a few extra next month, and I'd like to try to get a rig without cashing out Smiley

Also
Does anyone know where to buy PCs for BTC?

Try here,be careful who you deal with.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=75.0

Can you build your own PC?? If so,your amost done,a dual core 45 watt CPU & 1 gig of ram & an old hdd (IDE or SATA) is all you really need to mine  Wink

A copy of Win 7 is best, but you may be able to mine with XP,I never tried XP for mining myself.

I think I could build my own, I saw videos of how it's done when I was younger. And I want to build one anyways because I want to make videos so that ANYONE can build a mining machine.

I see you are interested in the websites that take BTC.

If you decide to buy off a fellow forum member then I will have a few 5870s (3) for sale in the coming weeks. Just rearranging some of my rigs and parts to drop some higher hashing cards in the mix, thats why they will be going spare.

The 5870s I was referring to are GPUS yes, you can see the thread where I purchased them here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=174989.msg1866428#msg1866428

I would be looking for a similar price that I paid, although because I shall cover shipping like I normally do with my items then it may come out a little bit cheaper for you.

The miner was 300-ish LTC right? How much is that in Btc?

The BTC/LTC rate has most likely changed since I purchased them, I did end up paying in BTC however.

If you are interested in buying the 3 cards from me then I would ask for around BTC4

3 cards, I'm not sure what that means? Is that all I need to mine (plus a computer & CGminer I mean)

I see.

These are just the GPU's ( when I say cards I refer to graphics cards )

You would need a computer that has the available PCIE slots free on the motherboard and a PSU that can provide enough power to the cards.

Would any of these work? (what is a PSU?)

A PSU is a "power supply unit"

None of those you linked to are suited for mining.

Below is a link to the marketplace, your best bet is to try and buy a complete rig off someone here in the forum if you dont understand all of the components required in putting together a miner just yet

Id steer clear of any preorder site after the whole asic debaccle.

Thats great to hear, you should bounce some ideas off your friends regarding a set-up. Always good to have some real world sources of tech info.

If you are still interested in my GPU's then thats no problem at all, i'll be happy to try and explain anything you might need to know. Reading up in the mining section or just various places in this forum is a good place to start if you are looking for information though, its all here at your fingertips Smiley

I just don't know what to read really. When I read about mining, I don't really understand what's going on. But I've never had a mining software or anything open in front of me, so I have no reference.

And I sent a link to one of them about the Bitcoinstore to see if they could find a better desktop for the setup.

You could try https://bitminter.com/ to get you started.

It is a pool that uses its own mining software, which is extremely easy to use and the stats are pretty easy to read also.

I see.

I think that bitminter only merge mines NMC

But

I think bitparking may do what you are looking for though, you could try and get to grips with a mining client to get you ready for whichever hardware you end up using. It could only help you.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this but you can go to Bitspend.net and they will buy you stuff off of newegg or amazon if you give them bitcoin. Bitcoinstore is great though so only use bitspend if bitcoinstore doesn't have an item or something.

I just discovered this website. Another place selling tons of stuff for Bitcoins.

http://www.bitmit.net

I bought a 6870 from a seller on Bitmit a couple of months ago...been running like a champ ever since.  It's good for about 310 MH/s (sha256) or 300 kH/s (scrypt).  The only transaction where I had trouble was for some RAM for my mining rig; after the seller refused to ship for two weeks, I fired off a request to Bitmit and got my coin back.
