Given that there are no defined regulations for bitcoin in my country, is it possible that stores posting the "bitcoin accepted here" sign are evading tax by letting their customers pay with BTC?
In some countries, the government is less concerned about such things, because they’ve got more important things to do than look into such matters. Putting up a post/banner that reads “Bitcoin Accepted Here” is quite the same thing as saying “Gold Accepted Here”. So, these people are not doing any wrong thing.
But, I won’t be interested in paying with Bitcoin in a retail shop, it looks stupid to me, unless it’s online. What do you expect me.to do, sit down and waste my time sending Bitcoin and also waiting for confirmation time? No, it’s so stupid.
