It's a forum an specialized for people to talk about Cryptocurrency,
just like its domain name .Org = Organization,in brief i called it a place to talk.

back then not many people know about it,and this place created for them who's want to know about it,
and involved with it

so,why you asked about this stuff by the way ? curious ? or something else ?

Why do you need this? Creators should remain in the shadows. This is a forum about crypto-currencies, and crypto-currency is security.

True, I think some forum admins from this site has a communication with Satoshi Nakamoto, and I believe Satoshi has an account from this forum. This site is very unique, so simple, with less ads.

well many of the members here especially those who are in higher rank saying that satoshi nakamoto have an account here in forum and he is one of the creator of this forum, this question have a thread in this forum also you can find it

Probably good stuff to read throughout the years. If ever I had the time to read back some posts from the early days or during Mt. Gox massacre.... but need to keep up with all the interesting stuff that's going on right now.

As far as I know, Satoshi Nakamoto has created this forum. At the same time doing bitcoins and why do you ask them?

That is also what I am thinking. Satoshi Nakamoto made this forum. The history of bitcoin said that Satoshi leave bitcoin and pass the authority of Bitcoin Foundation to Gavin. Gavin left the core, as far as I've read.

This would be a very nice discussion though. It would be great if the founders of the forum would post here and discuss with us the history of bitcointalk. It is really intriguing to be honest. Knowing why, when, how it started is pretty good history class right there. Also, this forum has been surely a very influential factor to what bitcoins and crytocurrencies are today.

BitcoinTalk was created by Satoshi Nakamoto himself way back in 2009. Satoshi is one of the early few members of this community.

I am around since 2011 here. Kinda nice if Satoshi Nakamoto was one of the founders of this forum. I honestly did not use the forum much in 2011 just read some news and went on and came back in like and made an account in 2013. A lot has changed since then but I can still remember the topics about many bitcoins and you could claim hole bitcoins from faucets when Bitcoin was not worth that much. Kinda funny how far we came. Curious how 2020 will look in here when everything has hit a lot higher than we can imagine right now.

I think you will never have the chance since he is last active here in 2010. Although it will be really a pleasure to at least have a conversation with him in this forum. The man is truly legendary because he created something that take the world by storm and we are now reaping its rewards.

The main founder of the forum is Satoshi Nakamoto, the founder of Bitcoin. He posted here back in 2009 & 2010 before disappearing and now no one knows who/where he is. He hasn't spoken since then and yet Bitcoin continues growing to this day. Now the head honcho of this forum is theymos he is the top moderator, so to speak.

According to the long standing news, the founder of bitcoin is @satoshi nakamoto but there is no truth revealed until now and the account name of the founder bitcointalk.org is @satoshi and it seems that he is just the founder of this forum and then submitted it all to @theymos.

Most of this thread is bullshit.  The real history is that sirius started this forum in November 2009 along with satoshi (the creator of Bitcoin).  Satoshi was active on the forum until December 2010, after which he stopped posting.  AFAIK Sirius still owns the domain as well as bitcoin.org.

Satoshi's post on the topic was here.

As you can imagine, a lot of BTC users would go on there since that's where Satoshi discussed BTC and posted important information.  

Now the forum is owned by theymos.  Cyrus is an admin too.
