How are you going to compensate for the volatility of your CDX token when it hits the markets? As a content creator the $$$ amount per token being paid out will no doubt fluctuate up and down from day to day.......worse for the advertisers, how can they determine the value of their ad revenue on a token that you have to admit.....cannot just keep going vertical forever.

We don't expect the kind of volatility seen with some tokens. The CDX will be constantly purchased by advertisers to pay for ad space, so there will be good market depth. The pump-and-dump schemes only work with tokens that are basically not used in day-to-day operations. In such cases, coordinated groups can create massive volatility on low daily volume. With the CDX it will be hard to do at first and almost impossible to do as the network matures and grows.

It seems to me that the success of this project lies very heavy on the speculators pushing the value up and keeping it up. GREAT, if the value of the project justifies the consistent and managed upward momentum, but come on, nothing is stopping a pump and dump from happening, lets say for example, from your competition who would love to create chaos for your customers who have to rely on some kind of stability of the coin.

Would a longer term contract signed by content creators and advertisers help?...and would they be willing to do so if pump and dump is done to you by your competition or anyone with a large stake on a regular basis?

what is to stop anyone from purchasing a large amount during the ICO just to control the price? Has already happened to many coins already.

Why not have a derivative coin / tokens tied to the US $  separate from the CDX just for this very reason?

the only other way I can see you preventing large swings is if you held a majority of tokens in order to flood the market or buyback your own tokens in a moments notice. This does not always work so well either.

Don't get me wrong, I like the project and might still invest, but tough questions need to be asked in order to make sure it is project that can be as strong as possible for all parties that want something like this to succeed.

I understand your concerns. But our average contribution is less than 2.5 ETH. It's ALL small time investors and first time users who want to save the alt media space. Maybe some pump-and-dump group will show up eventually, but hasn't shown up so far. So there is no one to create the pumps or the dumps... Once the CDX hits the market, it will become very expensive to buy up coins there. That's why I believe that where the pumps and dumps happen, the coin creators are in on the action. It's all about the people.

Question ? Just doing some more work on your team and whatnot. Haven't seen many images of you guys or videos so feels like not transparent enough. But besides that question about this individual from your team.

https://commodityadnetwork.com/team/

His name is Sten Loor on your website and that is his image.

http://imgur.com/a/iq4Lz

This shows him as "Sten Loor" - but when I do further research his name is actually - "Oliver Wihler" why is that? Is it normal to have 2 different names or is there some type of error.

Just don't understand this hopefully you can clear it up.

I'm researching many of the people on your team seem to have different names. Whats going on? The team / company isn't very transparent from what I'm seeing.

Also found out this - --

"Wayne Holland" aka "Ryan Thomas"   - https://commodityadnetwork.com/team/

This is Ryan Thomas not Wayne Holland - http://ryanthomasspeaks.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/Ryan-Dad3.jpg

They wear a similar hat pretty odd.

Also another PR - https://www.newswire.com/news/ryan-thomas-to-speak-at-the-michigan-parental-alienation-awareness-day-10380951

Thats the picture of the guy it's Ryan Thomas.

Lastly seems like you guys contacted this guy on youtube to review and vouch for the pre-sale , promotion is fine , but odd he took down video.

If you can clear up all I've posted then I'd be comfortable investing in this ICO. Thank you for your time.

Also , it's quite evident that you guys have bought fake followers on your twitter account - https://twitter.com/commodityadnet

Thank you for catching this. We will deal with this immediately.

I have been speaking to Sten on Skype. He brought his two buddies on the team. I did not talk to them. I have already reached out to Sten to explain why he is using different names. There might be legitimate reasons for that. People do change names sometimes. I'll let you know when he gets back to me.

Anyway, we haven't paid Sten or the other two anything yet, as the software development is scheduled to start after the pre-sale and before the ICO. Just in case these guys turn out to be some kind of weirdos, I have a backup team of devs standing by as well. This is the online world. You just never know who is who.

As for the video with Adam. Adam is a well-known person. Our colleague was reaching out to hundreds of youtubers to let them know about CDX. Adam was one of them. When we figured out who he was, we cut our ties with him. I assume that's why he removed the video.

I've been following steve st angelo on https://srsroccoreport.com/ for about 5 years.
If his website content is anything to go by you will get a very good product.
The ethos/idea behind CDX and the involvement of steve st angelo made me decide to invest
in the presale.

srsroccoreport produces some very thorough and informative articles primarily
in the gold/silver sector.

there aren't many sites I regularly visit but srs is one

I have reached out to Sten Loor 5 hours ago and he hasn't responded yet. This was reason enough for me to reach out to our backup dev team. I have asked them to send us a video showing each of their team members introducing themselves. And to send us each members' LinkedIn and Github pages as well, so that we can easily verify that they are who they claim to be.

In the meantime I will be reaching out to Upwork where I met Sten Loor and will be reporting him for identity theft. I will do the same for his two buddies because they might not be who they pretend to be either.

I have to thank the OP for bringing this to my attention. Thankfully, we have not entered into any actual software development with these people, so there is zero negative impact from their attempted fraud.

Really don't know what you mean by spreading "fud" , but I think you can learn a lesson or two about doing proper research. Seems like you've blindly invested. If you can't research and ask the hard questions then this isn't for you.

If you can't research and ask the hard questions then this isn't for you. I think you should be encouraging people to do in depth research rather than bashing it. I'm trying to help protect investors. Lots of bad ICO's have been coming out. I'm sure CDX is the real deal and this was just a simple honest mistake, but you need to realize people do scam out there.

Thank you for the follow through. You guys are looking to bring a multi million dollar project live so I would hope that there is more transparency and more research done on the people you guys hire. It's really important to investors like us. In addition, have you guys thought about doing some live interviews with people on youtube with crypto channels? I think it would be a great way to get exposure and build trust.

P.S You guys should hook me up with some free CDX coins for helping you guys find about the team members lol.

It would never have occurred to me that someone with an account and job history at Upwork would be an identity thief. Live and learn, I guess. The backup dev team was asked to create a video of the whole team, with each team member introducing themselves. We also asked for LinkedIn profiles and Github pages. If you have any other ideas how to triple-check them, I am all ears.

Yes, we will be doing live discussions. We also hope to do some live interviews with crypto youtubers. I believe we have one already planned for Thursday.

Of course, I am very happy that you brought this issue to our attention. It would have been a costly thing to realize later on that this person was a scammer. I am more than happy to offer you CDX tokens for your excellent research. Please, drop me a line using our website's contact form. Thanks!

Hey , I'm glad that we were able to figure out the problem. I don't want you guys to end up getting scammed on your ICO lol. I read the white paper and the idea is great , I've been seeing plenty of content creators getting screwed by youtube and other platform, you guys are the perfect company at the right time, hoping you guys will succeed.

I'm already an investor , I just wanted to help you guys out , I'm pretty good at research. If you guys ever need some help let me know. The journey will be long and you guys will be going up against some big competition , but with the right mindset and diligence you guys will do well.

Again I'm glad we got this cleared up.

100% bonus? Investors should have the fastest connected during the first day of it on the exchange or you'd be late to dump the token. 100% this is going to be dumped to claim the 100% profit. This ICO is the most suspicious of all. I'm sure this team is a con.

Hello!
I like your project and I would like to participate in pre-ICO, but I'm confused with the fact that the address address on the site -

0x6fff3806bbac52a20e0d79bc538d527f6a22c96b

differs from the address on bitcointalk -

0x6fFF3806Bbac52A20e0d79BC538d527f6a22c96b

As I understand the address itself is case-insensitive, and I can use any of them, right?

If so, anyway It's a little bit confusing.

May be it's better to use absolutely the same address?  Wink

Hope your project will be amazing!

The coin is called Network. I am not sure whether there are some centralized rules regarding naming the coins. I have researched the most well-known coin listing sites before deciding on CDX. There was no mention of any other coin using this symbol. We'll see.

Its CoolDarkCoin that is confusing people I think. It appears to use both CCX and CDX as its denominator:

https://www.cryptocompare.com/coins/ccx/overview/BTC

Shouldnt be an issue on the Exchanges you've named so far though?

Speaking of which, any plans to get on the big decent exchanges with real volume like Bittrex?
