Hi all,

Some years ago I bought some bitcoins but did not look into it for a long time. Since they increased in value so much I decided to sell. I tried to sell them at bitrush.nl a dutch side that buys and sells bitcoins. I wasn't really aware of the need for transaction fees and just used the lowest fee which was the standard of my wallet. Later I read on the internet that if you send coins with such a low fee it can take a very long time. On fora I read that transaction can even be thrown out of the mempool. I think this is what happened with my transaction but somehow my wallet(on old version of multibit) is not showing my bitcoins. I read about the possibility that multibit shows an incorrect balance and that this can be solved by exporting the private key of my old wallet into a new one. My question is how can i do this?

Kind regards,

Chris

How many days have you waited for the transaction to be processed so far?
Multibit Classic has many problems. If you don't see your money or transactions, try to do this: "Tools">>>"Reset Blockchain and Transactions". Anyway if you wanna keep on using Bitcoin, I strongly suggest to get rid of multibit. It is an abandoned project, as you may see here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=99.0

Check your private key well, and i hope you did not exposed it out during your transaction to some one els or your closed friend.
