Exactly that. What a lot of people don't understand (no fault of their own) is, that Blockchain nowadays is like the Internet in the 1990's.

Those of us, that grew up before the internet (or when it first came out) were like "do we need this internet? What's the point.. I have normal mail, I can call people on the phone... this makes no sense to me".

But, soon people picked up all the benefits (and yes, ways to scam people) as well. And the internet blew up, evolved along the way and we are where we are today.

Yes, we need it since the government is not being transparent on how they budget the country's fund. With the help of blockchain and using a specific altcoin, the people will properly see where their taxes go if it is on the good hands or on the bad hands. This could prevent the politicians of the country to be corrupt by starting a "project" for the community that are substandard even though the funds are meant to be in a good standard. There are many things that politicians do that are connected to corruption, I've just mention one earlier. The blockchain could make the government's auditing on funds properly arranged. When I see there are too many ICO and shitcoins on novaexchange. I keep asking myself: do we really need blockchain technology?

In case of Bitcoin. Of course, I agree.
What about ETH? I agree too.

But, have a look at the others on the market. I don't even know why should people use their service. There is no real use in real life.

An ad management system on blockchain? - We already had Google Ads & Facebook Ads.
A social network on blockchain? (steem) - Do we? I don't see anything but a centralized forum hosted on a random hosting using its currency to pay for the writers.

There are too many projects  that we don't really need it on blockchain.

Sometimes, I think there is a black swan (Blockchain is useless in real life) lurking around.
